It's remarkable how contemporary that bike looks - something so utilitarian, designed for a single purpose, and yet it somehow looks good.

Beautiful . I love the look of the para bike . When I was at Juno Beach there is a sculpture just behind the beach using modern bikes that are welded together into a grouping as a tribute to the bikes left behind by the Canadian troops on D Day .

After the german retreat there were almost no bicycles left in the Netherlands. Do we know if they were brought by the troops during Market Garden? Except from the folding part your bike looks a lot like the old Dutch ones.

I believe that they were used during that Op, and I wonder if these were adapted from an extant pre-war design
