BSBSTR503 Reviewing policies

There are five steps to developing a policy that we describe in your learner guide. They are, identify the need for a policy, research and develop the policy, review and approval, communicate and implement and finally, monitor and review. We also touch on the concept of a policy cycle. This is typically applied to government policy makers, but it can be adapted for use within private organisations also.
In essence, both of these processes depict the creation or development of policies as a cyclic process. One where the need for change can be identified at any point, and lead to the start of the development process.
