I just tried the basbosa layer today and it was really yummy. This was the only recipe I was able to find which tasted like the amazing basbosa at Qahwah House in MI. The other recipes use sugar water syrup and it does not taste even close to as good as this! For some reason mine did not turn out as dark brown though and I cooked it for 10 extra minutes. Maybe I’ll try cooking it at a higher heat next time
