PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION
The product is fed into the ACM pneumatically. Size reduction is a result of the feed product impacting against the rotating grinding elements and against the stationary liner. At beater tip speeds of up to 140 m/s, fineness values of d97 = 10 µm are achieved. The product becomes entrained in the cooling, conveying and classifying air drawn through the mill by the downstream fan and is routed along the guide vanes of the vane ring.
Characteristic for the ACM is the integrated dynamic classifier. The product/air mixture is distributed uniformly by the guide vane ring to the rotating classifier. Because of the two opposing forces and the different masses of the particles, the product is separated in the classifying zone into a coarse fraction and a fine fraction. The coarse material is rejected by the classifying wheel and returned to the grinding zone for further comminution. The fines pass through the classifying wheel and exit the mill. The cut point is a function of the classifying wheel speed, which can be steplessly adjusted even during operation.

FUNKTIONSWEISE
Das Mahlgut wird der ACM pneumatisch zugeführt. Die Zerkleinerung erfolgt durch den Aufprall des Mahlgutes auf die rotierenden Mahlwerkzeuge und auf das feststehende Prallfutter. Mit Schlagkanten-Geschwindigkeiten bis zu 140 m/s werden Feinheiten von d97 = 10 µm erreicht. Die vom nachgeschalteten Ventilator durch die Mühle gesaugte Kühl-, Transport- und Sichtluft erfasst das Mahlgut und führt es an den Leitschaufeln des Leitrades entlang.
Charakteristisch für die ACM ist der integrierte dynamische Sichter. Das von den Leitschaufeln gleichgerichtete Produkt-Luft-Gemisch wird gleichmäßig dem rotierenden Sichter zugeführt. Im Sichtbereich erfolgt aufgrund zweier entgegengesetzter Kräfte und der unterschiedlichen Masse der Partikel die Trennung in Grob- und Feingut. Das Grobgut wird vom Sichterrad abgewiesen, in die Mahlzone zurückgeführt und erneut beansprucht. Das Feingut passiert das Sichterrad und tritt aus der Mahlkammer aus. Die Trenngrenze wird über die Drehzahl des Sichterrades eingestellt und lässt sich auch während des Mahlbetriebs stufenlos verstellen.

the air classification in different grades like high in starch and high in protein fractions is done in the cyclone, the classifier on top of the mill, is only sending the coarse particles back to the mill, therefore you should have another classifier on top in the cyclone
