OH EACH VIDEO KEEPS ON GETTING BETTER AND BETTER I SWEAR i feel like it's such a small thing but i do love how kunikidas eyes dont do that whole turning white thing until rokuzo gets shot. augh. and i incredibly enjoy how much each agency member is affected by what happens to kunikida, and even more so how much dazai in particular is! in the other reactions he's effected sure, but honestly i think this is the most emotion we've seen out of him so far. I really love him referencing Oda and telling Kunikida to find something to rely on. Because he's right, Oda's ideal was broken and instead of relying on Dazai he went to his death. And he doesn't want another friend to end up with that fate.... augh

The fact that Sasaki was Kunikida's first wife in real life but divorced shortly after their marriage makes the azure king arc even sadder because he truly started to care about her.(He missed her even in real life after she divorced him due to poverty and her mother's persuasion.) I've always had this theory that the Azure king is there in the anime to show us an alternate version of reality of how Kunikida could have turned out had his ideals been on the darker side. (Not saying that Azure king is Kunikida just that they are each other's parallels).

im rewatching this one again (kunikida mood just struck me) and man im still finding details. for example when kunikida blows up: dazais eyes turn white first, far before anyone else realizes whats going on. yosano catches on next, followed by ranpo when kunikida's ability goes off. they're all concerned and panicked beforehand of course, but i think dazais familiarity with him due to his partnership is what leads him to his conclusion before ranpo. out of everyone only kunikida and fukuzawa dont get white eyed reactions, kunikida obviously because of his understanding of his own actions, and fukuzawa due to his own experiences im sure. out of people who get the pupil only reaction dazai recovers the quickest. this happens after atsushi asks if "kunikida's really... (dead)" so i imagine it's probably because hes running that through his little head. honestly dazais reactions to everything are so dear to me like... hes consoling him in his own way (the whole tough you couldnt have done anything in that situation to change the outcome talks). and you can just feel how Pissed Off he is with fyodor while he's watching kunikida in the cannibalism arc. and it really only go through my mind now but him asking kunikida to find something to rely on... which is about the same thing he asked oda before he died. like i caught on to that before but the specific phrasing really just hit me. and i like that really him telling kunikida this is him giving the same amount of vulnerability he showed oda during dark era, him opening up about part of his past here and him telling oda why he joined the mafia then. its all so. augu. in conclusion kunikida & dazai they could never make me hate you and i love this video still auauau

An idea for Kunikida’s past: Since pretty much everyone in bsd has a traumatic past, I have come up with an idea about Kunikida’s possible trauma. So as we all know Kunikida is kind of a perfectionist and takes his job at the agency very seriously. So I can imagine a possible trauma for him. He was pressured by his parents to be perfect at everything since his parents themselves were perfectionist and wanted to shape their kid into being one as well. As Kunikida grew older he might’ve started to resent his parents because of that but a part of him never really broke free from their parenting style. It’s also possible that his parents hit him whenever he was slacking off which is why he did it to Dazai at the beginning of the show since this is how he knew to discipline others. He also could’ve been one of those rich kids whose parents never really showed any love or affection and only bought their kids expensive stuff. Lacking emotional love, his perfectionist style could also be the result in him trying to please his parents and to earn their affection.

It's always very interesting, the characters and their emotions are alive, and the reaction itself looks complete, not stretched and without everything superfluous Also, I want to note, I like one detail - sometimes, when the characters are very shocked, their eyes turn white, as in the manga. WOW!! I love this series so much so i was rewatching it, personally kunikida's part is one of my favorites! Also, Moriarty the patriot is also one of my personal favorites! The anime is really good and terribly underrated, if you're taking videos ideas or so i believe a moriarty the patriot reaction would be astounding!
