Fun fact from extra manga panels: Irl Atsushi was actually a teacher in an all girls school, he was considered as `the cool teacher` due to his mysterius aura + he was quite good looking which lead the girls to come to him as the teacher they liked ranting to. Therefore its likely out of all the authors featured in BSD Atsushi would have been the least bothered with being turned into an anime boy due to listening to teenage girls drama during his days as a teacher! (keep in mind the info is from an online source and while it is very likely that is the truth we can never be 100% sure ^-^)

I saw some people online saying that something like this happend where Chuuya, while he was drunk, broke into Dazais apartament and started screaming and insulting him untill Osamu started crying which resulted in thier other friend who was also present having to hold chuuya back from lashing out more (just got the info from some randos so idk if its really true but yk)

@@Sayuchq This is true. You can read about it in Kazuo Dan's book (just the friend who kept Chuuya). The first meeting of Chuuya and Dazai also took place under Dan, also written in the same book. During their first meeting, they had a drink, Chuuya got mad at Dazai and brought him to tears. After that, they started to fight. Dazai and Dan vs. Chuuya and Kusano Shimpei (also a writer, friend of Chuuya). After they were all separated, Dazai disappeared somewhere and Dan decided to go look for him. While Dan was looking for Dazai on the way, he picked up a log in case he ran into Chuuya or Kusano so he could hit them with the log. So the formidable Dan walked with a log to the advantage in search of Dazai. If I'm not mistaken, this all happened right before Chuuya tried to break into Dazai's house, but here I'm not entirely sure (sorry if it's hard to read, I'm using a translator)

also the chuuya there says too dazai "who would be stupid enough to get themselves stuck in a book" (or something along those lines) while in bsd, a certain red-headed gravity manipulating port mafia executive gets them self stuck in a book which is always one of my favourite things the think about lmao
