You know what's funny? IS that when I saw Chuuya as Akutagawa's mentor? I Was so happy, BECAUSE I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY OONE WHO THOUGHT OF THIS AU, IT'S BEEN IN MY HEAD FOR WEEKS, AND I ENVISIONED AKU MORE HAPPIER AND STRONGER THAN DAZAI'S TEACHING LOL. i really liked the idea of a dazai swap au because i always felt that pm or like 15/18 year old dazai always had a similarity to akutagawa besides the needing a reason to live i personally felt that were hungry for approves in a way (akutagawa wanted dazais approval and dazai wanted odasaku’s approval) and how both of them are depicted as cold and isolated, i also hc that dazai although did what he did because he thought it was to make akutagawa stronger but he was always a bit harder on him or had a part of him that disliked akutagawa because he always reminded himself of his mistakes/his past self so it makes sense sorta in my mind hope that’s ntm and makes sense 😭😭
