Fun Fact: I saw a theory saying that Chuuya and Dazai's ability names are related to each other... 'No longer human' represents Chuuya's body because if the Arahabaki and 'The tainted sorrow' represents Dazai's life. So it's kinda like Dazai makes Chuuya feel human and Chuuya makes Dazai feel alive. Fun Fact 2(my observation) : At Episode 21 when Dazai said "It's impossible, Let's give up and die" he was basically inderectly inviting Chuuya in a double assisted suicide... Fun Fact 3:Asagiri once said that Dazai and Chuuya are one soul in two bodies... Kinda like soul mate if you ask me Thats more reasons to ship these two :)

oof I remember seeing bsd ep 1 and the scene where Dazai tells Atsushi his name while standing there, hair and coat blowing in the wind with the sunset in the background. That was the moment I knew I had found a wonderful anime. 3 seasons and 1 movie later, I still feel so nostalgic about that first ep, even tho I watched bsd for the first time 4 months ago or so, not when it was first released.

The fun part about BSD is there are no canon ships. Soukoku is the top ship among fanfic writers (and the fandom at large, as well as Chuuya and Dazai's Japanese va's, iirc), followed closely by Shin Soukoku (Atsushi and Akutagawa) and RanPoe (Ranpo and Edgar Allen Poe). You'll see why when you watch it. Also, yes, the scenes have been heavily edited to create a timeline that's not there. Some of them relate to different people entirely. Again, you'll understand later.
