Plzz you solve my problem that inflectional morpheme does not change part of speech but in this book the example put in derivational vurses inflectional that teacher is suffix+inflectional plzz clear this point because teach + er changes grammatical category.

In linguistics, morphemes are the smallest meaningful units of a language. They can be classified into two main types: inflectional and derivational. Inflectional morphemes do not change the part of speech or the grammatical category of a word. They only add grammatical information such as tense, number, aspect, mood, etc. For example, in the word “teaches”, “-es” is an inflectional morpheme that indicates third person singular present tense. Derivational morphemes, on the other hand, can change the grammatical category or the part of speech of a word. For instance, in the word “teacher”, “-er” is a derivational morpheme that changes the verb “teach” into the noun “teacher”. The confusion might arise from the fact that “-er” can also be an inflectional morpheme in some contexts, such as in “younger”, where it does not change the part of speech (adjective to adjective) but adds the comparative degree to the adjective “young”. So, in summary: “Teacher” is formed by adding the derivational morpheme “-er” to the verb “teach”, resulting in the noun “teacher”. “Younger” is formed by adding the inflectional morpheme “-er” to the adjective “young”, resulting in the comparative adjective “younger”.
