People used to not take Forest seriously once upon a time

Why have people dropped playing Aiela?
@Shadowversus3 ай бұрын
I would say that generally people dropped her because she was too slow to resolve and is more or less a death sentence whenever pitted against an aggressive deck like Sword. Ideally, you'd see and play Aiela on 3, ram her into a follower on turn 4, ramping you to 5, which means the turn after, you are still not overflowing. Playing Goblin Princess and Sibyl or simply holding removal in hand on turn 3 just ends up being an overall better strategy.

@@Shadowversus So what I'm getting at is that in the current metagame Dragoncraft doesn't need to ramp as fast as possible and instead can play as more of a midrange deck to keep up with aggro decks like Swordcraft.

Just played this dragon deck today. Its terrible. Went 0/4 lost to forest, ward/storm haven, abyss, and egg haven. Not playing anything productive for basically the first 4 turns of the game leaves you at 10 or less health. Then by the time you start trying to heal its already to late. And playing 1 for 1s is not good this meta either.

Crazy experience! But I will say that what Tim mostly encountered in this tournament was Sword and Dragon. He did play against one Egg Haven, Abyss in top 8 and another Abyss in the finals. He ended up only losing to the dragon mirror and the finals.

@@Shadowversus yeah abyss eats this deck. I would say it's an auto loss. And the dragon mirror is just a coin flip who wins. Not a stable deck to play in a best of 1 format I guess. In a team event maybe cause you can get carried even when you lose. But yeah. Don't recommend that build at least. Need more low drops. Dragon summoner, dragonewts or something.
