Moisture content in both setups is seems to be too low which is detrimental to the worms. Their soft skin requires moisture to be kept at a fairly constant 70% which entails periodic adjustment through mist-watering to factor in evaporation. Please consider changing your recording device, the current video quality makes it hard to see the finer details from your setup. Wishing you the best

Yes the moisture content was around 60% but it is cold now In our country that's why I thought of reducing it as I study it,for the camera I will invest in a better one, cash is the issue for now am helping people with what I have in my hand currently, but God will make away for a better one

Thanks a lot. you have explained it in the simplest way possible. I have few questions if you can help please 1) which food wastes you are using for your commercial farm 2) is it easy to sell it if I want to start it commercially. Around 8 tons/month. 3) how much space would I need for 8 tons/month production. 4) I am planning to visit you to learn this before I start it commercially in my country Thanks for making the videos

When the black soldier fly larvae turn black, do they stop eating? I know people design a self sorting ramp, but if you were to manually separate (on a small scale), would you pick it the black ones and put in a place with no food, for then to pupate and turn into flies, or is black color not a full proof indicator?
@ProteinMasterNairobi4 жыл бұрын
Yes they turn black they are called pre pupa.and at this stage they don't eat. So you can separate them from the food area

@@ProteinMasterNairobi Awesome. That is what I thought. Thank you very much. I wasn't sure because with MealWorms, they go directly from worm to pupae.

@ProteinMasterNairobi4 жыл бұрын
You can add in some dry matter like rice husk or some sawdust
@WhatsUpMakkale4 жыл бұрын
@@ProteinMasterNairobi thanks for the response, I tried rise husk but even that seems to get wet/soak and mix with frass.
