The plastic pitch discussion was good to hear. As a Rangers fan I like to see my team playing on grass, but I’m also not arrogant enough to say all teams should play on grass with no compensation. The model used in the Netherlands has been talked about numerous times (part of European money is spread to lower clubs to make sure they use grass), the money the big teams make in Europe should be more than enough to help out. Look at Celtic / Rangers next season they are talking about £35m minimum if both make the champions league - even 5% of that number would be enough. The problem is Scottish football hates itself, clubs don’t vote in the interests of the game. They vote for themselves and screw the rest, hats off to the big teams in the Netherlands they have put their country first. That said, Scotland has too many football teams 😂

Any chance we can put the crisp section in the bin? If not you can call it after skips because that's what I do right past it. Ewan won the debate. The only thing I agreed with from the Falkirk CEO was that promoted teams should get a years grace. Surely that would be an easy compromise for the premiership 12 to make.

Great insight from the Falkirk boy who came on, even though I couldn't disagree more with everything he said. He contradicted himself loads and Jambo Bear had him on strings. He's greeting about academies and womens' teams etc, well every other club has to facilitate them, so they should know what's required. Saying they need plastic pitch so they can let community clubs use it 7 days a week ... Then two minutes later says according to his thesis, you can't overuse plastic pitches, it will deteriorate the quality. Jambo Bear is like a dug with a bone re plastic pitches. Fighting the good fight !

On the shankland topic, I’d be more angry if we signed him this summer than the fact we didn’t in January. January was the time to get him, put the money out for him and he’d have taken us to the cash pot of the UCL. We didn’t take the gamble and now that money is gone. He’s nearing the end of his prime now, it would be a pointless signing this summer. I’d prefer if we went all out for Miovski now.
