to think about it.... this whole recent fashion of releasing official vinyls with just a SLIGHT edits of tracks under fake titles is lame. The only reason DJ's do it they are too ashamed to admit how little they edited the track and they are too tempted to gather all the respect to themselves. Shame they do not promote in that way real artists of the tracks they edited, the way Bâlearique promotes these DJ's by properly tagging everything while uploading stuff on youtube. What you think?

@@michazielinski4130 Hanley's touch is invariably spot on. Recognising how a retouch/extension/tighten turns a great record into perfect dancefloor material is adding value, IMHO. "they are too ashamed to admit" You're projecting.

@@GregQchi yes of course I was projecting :) and I love Mr. Hanley's contribution but.... I wanted to raise the short debate about the ethics of this recent trend of naming your edits your way. Like all these Whiskey disco releases, Tropical Jams, Estrela Edits, Belpaese, and so on, and so on... the list is looong. Earlier in 80s, 90s, and even 00s edits and remixes were very popular among DJs yet they were all released as Artist - Title (*alias* Edit / remix / version etc). Nowadays we have plenty of very simple edits that are not making totally different song from a sample, they are just more suited to be mixed in and out for djs/ the cheesy parts are cut off/ there are some additional loops + filters for interesting bridges, solos, extended moment without vocals that are named like a guy who made an edit is a true arist behind everything in this track. Plus I do believe there are actually people who are dumb enough to think that as the track is titled Haners - You, Haners is the artist behind all the instruments, melody and lyrics and maybe just hired some guy for vocals :v for god sake, don't treat music with respect, make great remixes and edits and name it properly. Just look Ismael Miranda - Me Voy Ahora (Sacred Rhythm Dance Version) or earlier on 12" (Joaquin's Boriqua Version). Amazing remix/edit with perfect dancefloor value added (waaaaay more value added with this new whole sections, instruments, solos, beat, percussions etc) and still... you can call it "A Version". IMHO this is how you name it when you make a great edit... you credit properly real artist and you don't worry about how the title would sell because the edit is so good.
