I struggled a few months with my fractal ridge build, which constantly crashed. I couldn't find the answer to what is causing that problem. By accident, I found your video, which solved all my problems. Thank you a lot for that! Finally, I can play and work without frustration.

There's actually a specific PCIE 4.0-compatible version of the case, indicated by the penultimate digit of the model number (FD-C-RID1N-1x is 4.0, FD-C-RID1N-0x is 3.0)

I don't know if you still have the case, but I thought I'd let you know you have your side-panels installed incorrectly😅 The panel you have facing the camera, with the 1 sided mesh, is supposed to cover the fan intake of your GPU, so it can draw cool air, and depending on your GPU, blow it right through the other side of the case, through the panel that has the holes on both sides. The non-perforated part goes over the back of the motherboard, where no fans need to draw in air. Right now you have your GPU blocked on 1 side, and your mobo/cpu only gets to draw air from half a side-panel instead of the entire side as well. It's also technically mounted upside-down on the stand, but I don't think that would be much of a problem. Just a heads up, in case you're still running this case and want to improve temps.👌

😂suffered the same, sorted out the same, was thinking of buying a 3rd party gen 4 riser on Amz, but it's kinda expensive(55.95 gbp for a 10cm straight one and 73.96 gbp for a 5cm left angle one), now hoping that Fractal can do a free exchange thing about it......🙄

I would expect they will have to replace the riser. Make sure to get in touch with support to keep updated 👍

I’m thinking of buying a riser cable since I’ll need to install the blackridge cooler anyway. Did it work out for you?
@keliangchan Жыл бұрын
@@henryt9731 it works, plz note: only buy the 5cm long straight one(brand: LINKUP) and remove the ridge's original pcie riser but can still keep the structural support on as new pcie riser can go through the gap(after removing the original riser)

@@PCJack i couldnt wait for the fractal's official answer, i just bought a 3rd party riser and it works

@@keliangchan I’ve actually bought a riser too, and didn’t install the centre bracket altogether 😂 I’m sick of the 3.0 and bios changing every time i unplug from wall
