In this short video, Business Solution Partners' NetSuite Consultant Tim Schobel explains how to update existing records in your NetSuite portal via CSV file import.
In this example, Tim identifies records that have missing information, exports those records out of NetSuite in the CSV format, then works in Excel to update the records and format the CSV file for re-import back into NetSuite.

Is there a way to do this with invoices?

Yes you can, but would you really want to? We're considering the audit trail when we ask this important question. We wouldn't consider it a best practice, though the functionality is possible.
