When I was six, my mom passed away. I don't have many memories of her, mostly just pictures. But when I listen to this song, I start to feel like she's closer to me. It makes me feel that somehow I'm still connected to her...I can feel it in my heart. It brings tears to my eyes and it makes my hands shake, but I can feel her love again because of this song. Ahhh this brings me back. I got hooked on trance music in 1997 or so, my older friends turned me on to BT and I eventually got to see him play (with those same friends) in 1999 at The Warfield in San Francisco. It would have been a truly amazing show, had the sound guys not mangled a connection somewhere. Anyway, this album is mostly all bass music, which I'm not against, being a glitch hop DJ, but this first track is BT telling us he's still got those trance grooves from yesteryear. I wonder if the bass/glitch producers that he worked with on A Song Across Wires were big fans of his during the 90's rave scene.. or if they were even old enough :)
