BT17 Fenriloogamon Support Cuts Through The Meta?! [Digimon TCG Sauce Or Loss]

With the arrival of the new BT17 set in Japan, the digimon tcg added a whole lot of support to existing decks! Cards that can be used in a Fenriloogamon deck or a Kazuchimon deck! Dillpickle decided it was his duty as the number 1 Fenriloogamon enjoyer to give his opinion on the new support. Listen in as he talks about Digimon Seekers star Digimon's new toys and if he thinks the bt17 digimon, Fenriloogamon Takemikazuchi, has the bite or if running Kazuchimon in the deck is weak as heck.
Fenriloogamon was a deck first introduced in bt14 fenriloogamon and since it was the digimon seekers protagonist's partner the Digimon card game gave the playstyle more support in both Bt15 and Bt16. The digimon bt15 that were introduced just helped the deck, but the digimon cards released in Bt-17 bring a whole new playstyle forward! The real question will be what style wins out fenriloogamon otk or fenriloogamon DNA

The new eiji is also good, it helps get memory without relying on the opponent while basically having the same inheritable.

Okay. I've been testing the Deck and sadly you're right about Kazuchimon (They screwed up that Kazuchimon so badly that it's not funny, it's sad) There is 0 synergy with the Deck except being cannon fodder for Trash's cost from the hand - You cannot search it with Tyranomon or its Option because it isn't a SoC - You cannot search it with Trainings or Memory Boost because it isn't purple - The times are counted with 1 hand when its EoT is really going to be activated in the Deck - You're forced to play 4 Analog (which are not easy to get) to have Kazuchimon in hand or Trash - (A little Salt for Fenriloogamon) If you activate [When Digivolving] to bring Kazuchimon. If you don't have Takemikazuchi in Trash. Well, you will have to start from 0 on the entire Digivolution scale *It would have been perfect if Kazuchimon was SoC and its [When Digivolving] effect was also [On Play]*

Hey there! Yes, unfortunately kazuchimon is really just DNA fodder which really sucks. I blame John Bandai for really limiting the cards usefulness in the SOC variant.

​@@dlpl123 Maybe it's true that it lacks consistency, but it's not bad either. Takemikazuchi has the OTK if the opponent has 3 Security (4, if you have another Digimon for Alliance) We already saw Bandai that by simply creating 02 Tamers for the DNA, consistency was greatly improved. The Takemikazuchi Deck has the title of "Protagonist Deck", maybe in the future (distant... TBH), we will have a Tamer "Eiji & Leon"

If the DNA Fenrir is sauce, why would Takemikazuchi be a loss if it helps with digivolving into it?

I think takemikazuchi is major sauce! I just think Kazuchimon is not to great if your building an SOC variant due to having no relation or synergy with the deck in terms of searching and using. Otherwise the new support is pretty sauce!

The problem is there is no way to search for Kazuchimon (not even with Tyranomon, the Option SoC or Memory/Training) The only way is to Draw it, and then use another effect to send it to Trash
