BT50 dash removal

Hi everyone ,
welcome back to the channel . I get asked on the daily how to remove the centre dash surround. So here is a two minute video on how i do it. It isn't hard with the right tools but beware the clips can break if you don't take your time. The ac controls lock the top section in so make sure you remove them before removing all the top section.

My usb has just done the same thing. Is it an easy fix?

My USB socket pushed in 6mths from new - repaired under warrenty. Now it's just pused in again - still under warranty, so will have it repaired and then plug a mini hub in so there's no longer any pressure pushing on the dash USB port.

Removing facia is much easier if you start with the air-conditioning controls first.

Useful Video. I've had my BT50 3 months and seem to have broken the usb connector at the top, it seems pretty fragile. Do you have problems withe the DAB radio reception out of the city and is there any recommended upgrade.

Ahh that sucks I have heard it’s super common tho. Honestly I haven’t listen to the radio in my ute so I’ll have to test and get back to you. Thanks for watching and the comment

Hi mate, I just brought a new BT. Any issues with a 40-50mm lift with these? Will I need to replace upper control-arm’s or anything else? Thanks, Dael.

ihunt_ifish hi mate first off welcome. Nah I have a video how I installed my lift which is 3in. 40-50mm you will still get good adjustments for a wheel alignment.

Yeah got one on the passenger side but the drivers side is behind a bar so I’m getting a A/C specialist to get that on. I’ve had bad experiences with mucking around with dashboards, they never go back the way they come out and I’ll probably have screws left over

Have you ever removed the surround and instrument cluster in your BT. I would like to get in there to install a small LED from the low coolant alarm

Hi I just bought a new bt50 and need to add a few switches to the blank switch area, can i just remove the heater / fan panel to get to the switch panel without removing the main dash panel.? tnx David
