The video shows the roll call and ceremony for the opening of the military history collection "49 years of French armed forces in Berlin 1945-1994" in the headquarters building of the Berlin State Command in the Julius-Leber barracks - formerly the Quartier Napoléon. The largest exhibit is a demilitarized AMX 30 B tank. In addition to the French ambassador, Anne-Marie Descôtes, the French defense attaché, Major General Jean-Pierre Metz, and the commander of the Berlin State Command, Brigadier General Jürgen Karl Uchtmann, the barracks commander of the Julius- Leber barracks, Colonel Andreas von Studnitz, attended the event. Colonel von Studnitz is also head of the military history collection and representative for the Franco-German partnership. The exhibition was deliberately opened on July 14, 2022, the French national holiday. The video shows the rare "Great Flag Squad", in which the French flag, the federal service flag, the flag of Berlin and the flag of the EU are hoisted. When the flags are raised, the Prussian presentation march is played. Then the anthems of France, Germany and the EU will sound. The 3rd company (army) of the guard battalion provides the flag command. The staff music corps plays under the direction of Captain Holger Kolodziej. The march of the Berlin State Command, the Margarethen March, was shortened because of obtrusive copyright claims.
