This award speech is so sad but uplifting at the same time. BTS had a rough year in the beginning of 2018 mentally to the point of contemplating disbandment. But they stuck together and fought through the rainy days for ARMYs to emerge on the other side in the sunshine. I’m so proud of how far BTS has come and how they’ve become family to one another. Looking forward to the future! 💜

@@Sj-lz3os it was the year they renewed their contract else it would’ve gotten over in 2020. Namjoon told Bang PD that we care about BTS but show us you care us about too in form of compensation. Apparently they initial renewal deal they got was terrible so they thought of disbanding as they were tired and burnt out but the compensation they were getting wasn’t worth it. If you google how BTS renewed their contract you will get this info. Bang PD is worth $3 billion today yet BTS members have a base salary of paltry 8 million each. Bang PD gave his brother more stock then he gave to the artistes on whose back everything is built. They include PDogg and their choreographer son deuk too.

I don’t want to sound like a diehard army but I hope this moment in BTS life proves and encourages everyone (myself included) to never give up on what you want to achieve, or where you want to go. Imagine if they disbanded last 2018, they were only a year or two away from being one of the biggest idols worldwide. Imagine what they have missed from really working hard, which fortunately they held on to it. Sometimes we think we’re failing or we’re too slow or we’ll never ‘get there’ but what we didn’t know is we were only a few steps away from achieving our goal, whether it is a small or a big goal. It took BTS 7 years from debut to get full recognition, I’m on my 7th year on working on something also, and I am taking their numbers as a challenge. I hope armys and non-armys would at least be inspired from what BTS had gone through. Rejections, failing a million times, feelings of hopelessness - you can take a break, cry, but never ever give up. Never ever think about quitting. 💛 All the best. 💥

I'm so happy I found they're still together I found them much later then expected 8 years after their debut and i regret not listening to them earlier but I don't have a single regret since I first saw them. I have never found/felt so much strength through anyone's music or actions. They're such kind people and deserve nothing but happiness, health, and overall well-being.
