Break The Chain

This is a particularly special podcast because I got to talk to my best friend of over 12 years.
We talk about our journey, which documents our struggles with drug addiction, suicidal thoughts, and the loss of friends.
We then go on to discuss how we escaped and have been slowly turning our lives around through traveling and other techniques.

This channel have made me go from doing K everyday, to only in the weekends, and in way smaller amounts. Thanks for enlightening. :)

I resonate with your message, this is an important topic that needs awareness. But it needs to be clearer and to the point. You have information that people need to hear, id recommend keeping it short and sweet to gain traction.

Thanks mate. This one was always going to be a bit of a ramble because it was with my best mate and a lot of listeners that know us would have known what we were talking about. Most of the other podcasts are more pithy and to the point. I’ll take your advice on board though. Thanks for the feedback 🙏

It is so weird that I was never an everyday user. I use to do it years ago on weekends but that is it. I had 1 infusion at a ketamine clinic and got severe bladder, gallbladder, and stomach pains. I had to stop treatemnt. It does work for depression, but it has some pretty nasty side effects!

Wow that is super interesting that you got bad side effects from using it medically. What doses do they prescribe when you use it medically?
@melaniemoore5635

@@breakthechain2645 It was 50mg via IV infusion. I have done it at parties many times before years back and never got K cramps or bladder pain. I think the IV infusion was too much. It is 100% bioavailable and that going right into your blood like that. It was too much for my body. I am stopping the use for a year or two and may try another clinic and get a muscular injection instead. Stuff on the streets nowadays can't be trusted. I won't touch that stuff! After 4 days my bladder is much better, still have some kidney pain. It was scary.

@@breakthechain2645 I can 100% see how this can be addicting. The feeling helps me a lot with anxiety and depression. I have a few friends that have gotten off of it. One of my friends had to have bladder surgery, she is clean now and doing great. Another one needs a kidney transplant but denies it is from ketamine when he was a dealer and used heavy. Thank you for doing videos like this.

@@melaniemoore5635 That is really sad 😕They start out on quite a small dose then but the tolerance builds so fast. Do you think there is a lot of chance of people starting off medically and transitioning to using illegally?

@@melaniemoore5635 also, not sure if you saw this one. When we did this one we tried to keep it to the point because I was told we waffled a lot in the last one. I think it is very informative. kzbin.info/www/bejne/d56ngmlsiNN7iM0

How much were you guys taking to get K cramps? I’m guessing this is daily abuse?
@desmond223
@desmond223 2 жыл бұрын
from personal experience, this builds up over time and ultimately creeps up on you. 14 grams a week / anything in the region of 2 or 3gs per day and more will do it, combined with lack of food and too much alcohol. sometimes we were doing half an oz a week each. to any k heads out there, if you start getting cramps, get in the shower or bath to ease the pain. when the pain subsides, eat some healthy but bland food for a few days to give your stomach a break. avoid alcohol. then really think about your health and family and take breaks from the k. then slowly but surely try and ween yourself off it. it's not easy but it's possible. take yourself out of the environments which trigger your k urges and focus on exercising, yourself and family if possible. try and spend some time in nature on a sober level. therapy and anti depressants, in combination with those other things, can really help kicking a heavy k habit

Ok because I’ve had weeks where I’ve used around 8 grams of ket and I’ve still never had them. I guess maybe it’s because I’ve had regular long breaks but I’m just waiting for it. I think I cant get away with it much longer.
