BTCC 1997 - Thruxton - Round 5 and 6

Fairly certain i was at this race when i was about 6. Great memories, still got a picture next to Biela's A4 in the paddock

i was the guy on the left rear,the wheel nut had locked on,,but we should have started on inters ,,,driver and engineers fault for not listening,it was as black as hell before the race

If the race had been a couple of laps longer then Harvey would have won, he was on fire this race

i like after Cleland's rant in the first race that his engineer in the second was very polite in taking to him!

A bit of a mistake there, they state Harvey was '91 champion when he was actually '92 champion.

Harvey was 1992, he won it at Silverstone in that battle with Cleland and Soper remember? Wikipedia has his and Will Hoy's titles the wrong way round.

@Deeksin That incident was cleland's fault, harvey was clearly half way alongside but he held his line, cleland was sqeezing him and gave him no room.

@schumacher1994 Also there was never meant to be pit stops, very very rarely was there pitstops before 1998 when it became mandatory.
