BTCC 2001 - Rounds 23 & 24 Donington Park

After the drama of Silverstone the 2001 BTCC season headed for Donington for the penultimate meeting of the season. With relations between the 2 main series contenders Yvan Muller and Jason Plato reaching Hamilton/Rosberg circa 2016 levels of animosity after their controversial collision in Round 22 everyone was holding their breath with just 5 points between the Vauxhall Motorsport. Nonsense. When you're that close and the car in front brakes a reaction more than you anticipate you're going to touch, when the cars are on tip toe and right on the limit the merest tap can unsettle them. Racing incident.
