A large part of the difficulty is knowing what to bring. And if you brought the wrong things you need to start over from the first map. Of course it comes across as easy to ISAB when he's not just skilled but also super knowledgeable about what towers are most helpful to bring.

The actual way to make odysseys interesting/challenging is to not prepare and just press start on whatever the default loadout is. In this case it means way less total towers, adora, and no alch, engi, mermonkey, or super.

yeah i usually play with default loadout to make it challenging as well. this odyssey i tried and couldn't finish. idk it might be possible to do with early bank and imf as i struggled to get big plane and super mines together alongside dart and sub paragon. idk i had fun trying for a couple hours that's all that matters

Striker jones can also cheese this, just get an energizer and you have perma stall, in the meantime you can put a lot less money to defending and more to farming(since the rounds take so long, I was able to reach the ability cap for monkeynomics pretty much every single round so I recommend getting that). Then I built a very high degree sub paragon with all that money.

I like how ninjakiwi tried to ban every stun/instakill/stall towers AND heroes, and yet intentionally left True Sun God ( top path Supermonkey ) which is its own knockback beast. Truly one of the Odysseys of all time P.S. : I almost choked because I haven't unlocked the submarine paragon, but managed to beat with the power of Sun Temple and a hyperbosted Supermines and Carpet of Spikes, with a bunch of other towers.

Would it be possible for this challenge if the monkeys for the next island is reduced by the maximum amount of each monkey used in the current island. (Eg. Initially have 8 farms, in Island 1 placed 2, in which they are sold by the end of the island. Hence in island 2 only have 6 left)
