You have to crack Gate cse for mtech which is way more logical and relatable than solving chemistry and physics for studying btech in cse.. so there will not be any preference and if there is, then mtech students will always have more preference as they are more qualified than btech students

Bro just start your preparation GATE CSE exam because it does not have any eligibility criteria but you should have minimum 6 - 6.5 C.G in your btech to get admission in many popular IITs and NITs but some IITs and NITs gives admission even if you don't get 6 - 6.5 C.G in your btech

Bro. Most BTechs are hired in developer roles. MTechs dominate engineering and technology profiles during placements. MTechs at IITs are really a step above.
