Red One's HDR grading is very dark like Star Wars Solo is and Hisense's DTM tone maps it the same as MadVR. You've got to boost the RGB gains to 25 and the Contrast to 100 to get it popping.

This projector is only 4K 60hz so it's not at the top tier list of projectors. CES 2025 will showcase the newer versions that will be a true 4K at 120hz !

What would be the benefit of 120hz? I can understand needing/wanting it for gaming, but not for movies and TV. I guess if 3d comes back- the higher framerate will help, but otherwise interpolation ruins movies and TV.

Wats lifespan of it be key cause in most projectors bulbs burn out in few yrs so cost of always buying them can get struggle often

In Australia the px3 has 200 less ansi lumens, no google tv os and no 3d support. I was excited until I found out the cut down version got sent to Australia. I'll have to go Awol instead.

Yea I just figured this out too, so disappointing to be treated second rate compared to US models in all the reviews. I actually assumed the Pro variant in these reviews, just wasn’t released in Australia yet, and customer support originally said that to me mid December. Though a few days ago, I enquired again and lady admitted mistake saying our trichroma model is actually the same one. But I pointed out the listing saying 200lumens less, and haven’t heard back yet. Honestly for me, I’ll mostly be in dark room without direct light, so the 200 lumens less won’t affect me too much, tho it will probably make HDR content pop a little less :/ I’m not bothered by Vidaa, I’m actually glad ours doesn’t have google. I didn’t know about the 3D stuff tho. I’d really like to interrogate the Oceana manager for why we are being treated like this. One positive is the price cut for us tho, it seems ours is actually cheaper than US prices, insanely surprising. I assume it’s bc of it being a subpar variant

No, projectors such as this one need 3D Link DLP glasses. They use batteries but are rechargable. I have this exact projector and went with the AWOL Vision 3D glasses, super satisfied

Video looks fake. You’re showing it in a bright room and the video looks as if it were playing on an Oled tv. It’s suppose to look washed out in a bright room. No way it looks like that in a bright room. Watch the other Px3 videos on KZbin to see the difference. This video is fake as hell
