During his Greece visit, the Indian Prime Minister expressed the country's interest in acquiring the use of ports in Greece. The reason for the interest relates to the Adani Group, the billionaire tycoon Gautam Adani. According to sources, Adani has focused on two ports, primarily that of Kavala and secondarily that of Volos, while he is also interested in Alexandroupoli. - Greek Media

India is a culturally entrenched country. It's very difficult to progress because of the very entrenched traditional old mindset of the ordinary citizens.

, Mahindra wrote, “Really?? The truth is that, in large part, our poverty was a result of decades of colonial rule which systematically plundered the wealth of an entire subcontinent. Yet the most valuable possession we were robbed of was not the Kohinoor Diamond but our pride & belief in our own capabilities." He added, “Because the goal of colonisation-its most insidious impact-is to convince its victims of their inferiority. Which is why investing in BOTH toilets AND space exploration is not a contradiction. Sir, what going to the moon does for us is that it helps restore our pride & self-confidence. It creates belief in progress through science. It gives us the aspiration to lift ourselves out of poverty. The greatest poverty is the poverty of aspiration…"

He can live in his own world of doom and pessimism, it wont be down to earth discussion more so of how we are so bad that we wont succeed. Leader is who gives a positive role for country to achieve not the dooms day scenario, that's already opposition is doing. Jayant Bhandari and can talk to each other and do self analysis of narcissism.

This seems to be over optimistic. Rather than forecasting for a long period two decades and more, let us look for next five years and see what we can do. The problem areas are very familiar- low growth in exports and persistent trade deficit, lagging in employment generation , the challenge of skill development and improving quality of our population, improving our manufacturing capacity and so on- list is not exhaustive. Instead of indulging in numbers game, we should focus on our own performance.

It is ridiculous for Indians to talk about G2, that is, India US because of the warm welcome of Modiji by Beiden and the Chandarian landing on the moon. These two events catapult India to number two.
@induchopra3014 Жыл бұрын
You sound confused..just two events are important for world. But there is huge indian education business,hardwork behind these two events. Trump had visited india. He maybe coming back in US. That will promote business more

Instead of trying to be the 1st or 3rd largest economy. India should try to be the 3rd biggest. Per capita. India is in the bottom of countries in per capita. Below Bangladesh.
@moonbalancedd5 ай бұрын
it is no longer below bangladesh. 2700 vs 2600.
@moonbalancedd5 ай бұрын
There is no way to become the 3rd largest per capita without becoming the largest economy overall first. The latter actually happens before the former. Top ones are usually small countries, but current #3 switzerland has 105k per capita. To match that, India would have to be a 147 Trillion economy which would be much more than the current largest USA around 30 trillion. China itself is #68 not even in top 50, despite being second largest economy.
