Iowa State alum and fan here, DeJean has been my favorite player to watch on the Hawkeyes the last couple years. Iowa's defense is always so good but DeJean is the single reason they won probably a good 4-6 games last year. He's very athletic but his intuition is incredible.

He's such a hard prospect to judge. His play making ability and instincts are as good as you could ask for. But if you stick him outside, you can't run zone every single play. Eventually you have to play man/press man, and it's hard to tell if he'd be able to stick around with some of the great route runners in the NFL.. As a safety, I'm sold. He's your guy. But on the outside, it's just hard to judge based on the type of defense Iowa likes to run.

Eagles will use him in the slot and as a safety The Quinyon pick pretty much solidified that before Cooper sharp DeJawn wa drafted. I see him more as a safety as he can play the run and ball hawk on deep balls. This was an excellent combo of picks for the eagles. I’d imagine Bradberry is a post June 1st cut and Mitchell/ DeJawn are day 1 starters

​@@bayodaman Hard to know for sure what his agility is, as he didn't do the cones at his workout, likely because he was only cleared a week or two before, after the injury, but his workout vertical was > Mitchel and Arnold, his 40 was top 12, and faster than Arnold, and his broad jump was about equal with Wiggins, and ahead of Mitchel. He may end up as a safety, but most teams play a lot of Nickel these days, and he could easily slot in as a CB there, and a safety on other downs. To test better on the 40 and vertical than Arnold is pretty solid.
