The Birds gain their summer hood over a long period of time when some Birds molting through as early as March whilst Others May retain significant numbers of white flowers throughout the breeding season the hood begins to disappear again shortly after breeding ironically despite its name.

this bird(Mediterranean gull) is very aggressive if you go near its little ones. i know because i was walking near the sea somewhere and then suddenly it appeared and started charging towards me multiple times and making noise. i was probably very near to its nest. i shat bricks and big respect that it is not afraid to protect its little ones.

There's no such bird as a normal seagull. You probably refer to Herring Gull.
