Exactly what does "flyable dimensions" mean? Fits underneath most airliner seats? Fits cabin baggage restrictions? Falls under the common 62"/158 cm oversize/excess baggage restrictions? Fits within maximum oversize/excess baggage limits? All of these would be considered "flyable", as in, the airline will accept it, provided you pay them enough money, but I think there is a lot of room for interpretation, otherwise. Generally speaking US airlines limit "personal items" to 18" x 14" x 8" max, cabin baggage to 22" x 14" x 9" max, checked baggage to 62" total L+W+H and 50 lbs. before assessing oversize/excess/overweight baggage fees, and maximum checked baggage size to 115" total L+W+H or 100 lbs. (United), although there is an exception for musical instruments, up to 165 lbs.
