BTR TK002 Trunnion Kit Installation - How To

The BTR Trunnion Kit was an all time best seller during my time with the team in Bardstown, Ky. How do you improve on a design that's been tested in 1500hp vehicles blasting 7 second 1/4 mile passes? Leave it to BTR to find a way. The original (TK001) kits have stood up to an enormous amount of abuse, but they decided to upgrade them to a pressed inner race comprised of 52100 Heat Treated Bearing Steel, over the more commonly used 8620 Carburized Steel found in most bearing style kits. They also come equipped with the only SELF OILING axle on the market. I watched as the BTR R&D team thrashed these kits on the spintron machine to excess, and the outcome was a brilliant new option for the marketplace.

Love it when things like this get simplified. 👍🏻 I’m sure I could do this part, just unsure how to torque them down when putting back in the car. 🤦🏼‍♂️

NO IMPACT....You'll strip the aluminum threads!!!!😮😮😮😢😢 Use a ratchet, then a torque wrench. Worked well for over a 100 years now. NO IMPACT!!! You're NOT tightening LUGNUTS, FERCHRISSAKES!!!!

Hey mate, I'm in Australia & about to install a kit, every thing looks right but the bearing doesn't say made in USA it has C&U KN-101305. When I looked that number up, it's the correct bearing for the kit. Is it still ok to use or is it Chinese

So will these work on a set of 4863 heads off of cts-v? I’m putting the heads on a lq4 block that’s been stroked to a 408 by TKM performance. Thanks in advance
