*rubs hands together* Ok, here we go! XD I enjoyed your first BTS reaction and am so happy you're continuing them. I'm going to comment on a few things you mentioned or I thought of to help you out. 1. I'm not sure why you thought there's none, but there's actually subtitles for this! All you have to do is turn on the CC for any of the music videos and then you'll be able to understand what they're saying. The lyrics for Fake Love are actually very deep, so I'd recommend you watch it again on your own with subtitles on just so you can know. 2. The guy you kept saying is cool is our leader, RM (real name Namjoon)! He's one of the main songwriters in BTS and is a rapper. Also I thought it was funny you mentioned Converse, because RM happens to have a thing for girls wearing Converse and wrote a whole song about it called Converse High. 😂 3. Ah yes, the Snickers. So they have what's called the BU (BTS Universe), which is a fictional storyline that runs through their albums and some (not all) of their MVs. Fake Love is part of the BU, which is why it might've seemed confusing at times, and I promise there's a reason for the Snickers. 4. 9/10 times, BTS uses practical effects in their music videos. They use green screens or CG sometimes, like in Dynamite, but in Fake Love the falling stage, water, and fire were all real, and in Mic Drop the explosion and fire were all real! 5. BTS are the kings of music videos and transitions XD 6. It is a fact that no matter if you're male or female, you WILL be attracted to BTS 😆 7. For more songs like Fake Love, I'd recommend Black Swan and Blood, Sweat, and Tears, and for more songs like Mic Drop, I'd recommend Run BTS (not to be confused with Run) and Fire. BTS performed this song at 2018 BBMA where they win top social artist award. BTS always have behind the scene for their mv. You can see the process. It's funny that you mentioned fast and furious ost because one of the member, Jimin were featured in the latest fast and furious ost. Actually, Fake Love has a story line. I think it would be good to follow the story line. :) DNA: Joy of fateful love → Fake Love: Realizing that love was a lie → IDOL, Epiphany, The Truth Untold, Answer Love Myself: To love other people completely, you should love yourself first. These are included in Love Yourself Trilogy. And, to explain a little bit about the background of Mic Drop, now BTS is the biggest boy band in the world. But they started with a small company that almost went bankrupt, so they have been very looked down and hated by Korean broadcasting stations and other K-pop fandom. So they have struggled from the beginning to prove themselves. It's a song for their haters. :) The direction of Mic Drop's lyrics began with the idea of J-Hope, the main dancer and dance leader of BTS. And 'Mic Drop' at the end of this music video is a performance created by BTS leader RM inspired by Barack Obama's speech. :) If you're interested in their lives, I'd like to suggest some of them. Love your reactions! Reactions to my favorite artists always make me smile because it feels like rediscovering them, but your BTS videos have been making me smile because your commentary is so genuinely funny and authentic! The hands are rather classic: Speak no evil, see no evil, hear no evil. This is often shown as a statue of three monkeys who each put their hands respectivly in front of the mouth, the second the eyes and the third on the ears. BTS is known for their lyrics and concept work over multiple albums. "Fake Love" is in the middle of the "Love Yourself" era: albums: - Love Yourself: Her - Love Yourself: Tear - Love Yourself: Answer songs: Intro: Serendibity -> D.N.A. -> Outro: Her (LY: Her) -> Singularity -> *Fake* *Love* -> Outro: Tear (LY: Tear) -> Epiphany -> Idol (LY: Answer) In "Fake Love" we go for "I don't know why" to "I just know why": This is the turning point in the relationship: We have pretended to be perfect as love is supposed to be and tried to be what the other person wanted us to be but it destroyed us from the inside out as we are not perfect/not what we projected for the other person. So the relationship falls apart and we are left with the question of who we are ourself: we are not fine. "Save Me" is written in the back for a reason. But because of the way it is written if you turn it on it's head it says "I'm fine". I think the original is from a Facebook post from Bekah Miles in 2015. How can someone love us if they never got the chance to see our true self? How can we love when we lie to ourself and we base relationships on lies? There is an extended version with a more different genre vibe that is a little longer. "I don't know what they are saying." - Sir? That's English! In fact "Mic Drop" (Steve Aoki Remix) has a lot of English. The song deals with their past and how they react to jealous haters. "MicDrop" is a reminder of Obama doing that. Their early MVs have no subtitles and "Fire" has a serious misstranslations so for those you can use 1theK as more or less official. Good translations and context can also be found on doolsetbangtan. Otherwise you can usually find CC on the down right as long as you don't let youtube try to auto-translate because that never works well. If you want live vids with subtitles try the channel "Enjoy BTS More". If you are interested in context of the group and K-pop: bby gang mag: - BTS vs. K-pop (has a definition of what K-pop is) - you are wrong about K-pop (lets say a lot of the portrails of it is wrong; the rest of this series is also interesting) - BTS: More than K-pop (why BTS) Asian Entertainment and Culture channel has vids to their biography for every chapter of the book (Beyond the Story) and every episode of the series "BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star", Suchwita and a lot of other things. The best series but incomplete is "The Rise of Bangtan"-series which is themed and at the beginning a little confusing but has a lot of context how K-pop works, the music industry etc. and the Bonus is funny. "Dark & mysterious"? Our clumsy Moonchild Namjoonie? I suppose his stage perona RM is that but... Try Taylor Mari's intro: "Bangtan 7" to know the real him. The water falling is real but he is left relativly dry as it falls in front of him. This, the fire and the snickers are symbolizing the trauma their characters have in the BU. There is a lot more in the MV. The BU is interesting and complicated: MVs (Korean AND Japanese), On Stage: Prologue, LY: Highlight Reel, notes/books, a webtoon (Save Me), a mobile game (that unfortunately ceased existing last year I think) and we are getting a K-Drama called "Youth" this year. It's complex. The shadow man is a hint into the era that followed the "Love Yourself" era because to do so you have to "Know Yourself": psychology (Carl Jung) The new era is "The Map of the Soul". BTS strenght is lyrics, lyrics, their personalities and their story. Maybe try RM's "Wildflower", J-Hope's "Arson", Agust D's "Haegeum", Jimin's "Set Me Free Pt. 2", Jin's "The Astronaut", V's "FRI(END)s", Jungkook's "Seven". So if you put the title of any BTS song and add Eng. Subtitles if you then don't get the title press cc. Personally as a visual artist I concentrate on every single detail so I like to listen to a korean explain the translation in English. That way you get everything not covered by translation, ie rude translations cultural and historical references cheeky little homophones where a word means one thing but sounds like another. Explainations that you can never get from the subtitles from people like DKDKTV , or DOOLSET, etc. Plus ARMY don't have short attention spans so you can load them together or separately. We just live to see people realise that what they first see is the tip of the iceberg. It's great but if you want to explore deeper BTS will reward you. If you do go subtitles you can make them bigger to make it easier to read.pause when uou need to😊💜 .

Interesting how you say you wish you had subtitles yet you didn't put them on. And I'm not talking about auto generated because those will not work properly. Most of their songs that are not in English do in fact have subtitles available and if you don't spot one go to a channel called Enjoy BTS More. She is an ARMY favorite and provides excellent subtitles for most all of their music.

What kinds of music do you listen to for training? Some others have said they enjoy Agust D which is harder rap for training. Or Jhopes Jack in the Box. As for BTS - NO, and Not Today. Again, just my first time seeing you so I am throwing these ideas out blind. Forgive me if I am really off. I know you liked MicDrop. And yes these music videos are epic! Great behind the scenes if you are interested. And yes KZbin is a business...so many skills being learned by many! Nothing wrong with that! As for fast and furious, Jimin one of the members of BTS, did the song track song for the movie, #11? I don't watch them either but great song.
