I am a huge fan of The Rose and BTS. I couldn't believe my own eyes when I saw these two making and doing a song together and then with the beautiful piano played by Mr. Ryuichi Sakamoto. I’m 75 years old and I absolutely love this song. The lyrics which I did not know what they meant until I read the English translation are so meaningful and up lifting at the same time. in all my 64 years I have never come across anyone like this. his skills and talent are exponential. his pain and sufferring come through every line of this music. He has such empathy and I can feel it in his music. Choosing Woosung is also genius as a stand alone bridge in the music with his unique voice. Re: older fans - I think the depth of emotional sincerity and maturity that Yoongi and the rest of BTS show, which come through so strongly in their music, is something you don't often find in "pop" music, and really resonates with older fans. A lot has been said about their message of positivity, but what I find striking is that it's not a naive, superficial positivity, where all you have to do is keep smiling and you'll live happily ever after. It's the hard-won positivity of hope through struggle, of failing over and over but still trying, which only comes with experience
