I like your theory. I'm actually shocked at how many people in the comments say they never even thought about it lol. I think a lot of people are hesitant to link any Kpop song to the LGBT community (even if it is really obvious lol) because Korea is generally not very accepting of it. But BTS has shown plenty of support for the community.

And I always wonder how many of yall actually believe they're lgbt supporters. I mean they are because they have to be, they need to be. Its politically correct and it's required. They actually paid any serious attention to that issue when they became super famous in the west. They made sure their lyrics are gender-neutral and began to show their public support to the community around the same time too (2017). After becoming so famous, the global liberals dragged them into their circle making them their face and voice for today's youth. Its common practice in global entertainment industry as the biggest and most influential artists are always involved in politics. Always. Thats why they were invited to speak at the UN general assembly, thas why they're invited to give speech at the Obamas event in June. It's always politics, people, and it's getting more and more political the bigger and more influential you become.

...and if you know them from their predebut and early postdebut days you'll say that they're anything but lgbt or feminist supporters. They were just ordinary Korean boys, raised the traditional Korean way. We've witnessed some h0m*Ph0bic remarks and actions of theirs in their shows, interviews etc. (RM, Jimin, J-Hope, Suga - all of them have such). Yall remember they were accused of misogyny because of RM's lyrics of War of Hormone and the whole Dark & Wild album. They were accused of hypocrisy too after their speech at the UN by some Korean feminists who reminded the public of their early music and lyrics. My point is when you say they're lgbt supporters and feminists keep in mind what they used to be and think if a person can change so dramatically over months or a year. I'm not saying they're against this community, they've just came across this whole issue when they became famous in the west and i personally think some of them are genuinely open and accepting towards the community (or at least they try to be accepting and understanding). The others are just not against the community. Just always have in mind the way they were raised and taught, their background, culture and society.

@@neverandom3157 Actually I do believe people can change drastically even in a short amount of time. I was raised to be homophobic by my parents but once I was a teenager and started to have my own opinions I quickly changed my mind. I remember the first time I saw a gay couple kiss in an ad I felt completely disgusted, now it turns out I'm actually gay myself lol. My point is that even if they were raised a certain way it is very possible that they have changed. Also support for LGBT isn't actually all that uncommon among the younger generation in Korea. Besides all that they have shown support way before becoming big in the west. In fact RM actually participated in writing an LGBT supportive song for another Kpop group pre-debut! And if it was all for show you would think that the support would mainly be confined to things like interviews and music videos, however some of their most supportive moments were not in those contexts.

@yoongi Namjoonx Bts has openly supported lgbtq community quite a few times. Even when an interviewer asked them about their girlfriend once, Namjoon responded "we don't have any boyfriend or girlfriend right now", Taehyung has countless times promoted a gay movie "call me by your name" saying the movie has various important message so we should watch it, Jungkook's one of the favourite artist was Troye Sivan for a while and so on. All the boys have shown their support for the community in one way or the other. 💜

As for your theory, I mean, could be. On the surface the song is about love between two people. That for sure doesn't exclude any groups whatsoever. Love is love, but this is the first time I hear that theory that it's specifically supporting the nature theory in the LGBT+ community. That I know of, the most popular interpretation is that the song is about them coming together through the cosmos as well as ARMY. That it was meant to be that we'd all find each other. Each album in the Love Yourself Project showcases the stages of love. First album is bright and colorful like the start of every relationship and friendship. 1st album: Love Yourself (Her) Jimin opened with Serendipity. It's sweet, bright and lovely. 2nd album: Love Yourself (Tear) Taehyung opened with Singularity. It's dark, heartbreaking and sad. 3rd album: Love Yourself (Answer) Jin opened with Epiphany. It's about acceptance and loving ones self and others. Moving forward in positivity. It's not directed to one type of love, imstead it's for everyone. It applies to everyone. Those who are suffering from an unhealthy relationship or friendship. Those going through stress and depression from home or work. Those who are hateful towards themselves. BTS covered every corner of the love concept. I've never had problems with family and friends, instead I had no self love. I didn't care what would happen to me as long as my mom was safe and happy. My mom is my entire heart. I don't know how to be sad and depressed because of how I grew up. Some thought I was a mean b*tch because they only ever see me smile or with a blank face. I didn't get the idea of why emotions were important, but that was before I found BTS and got to know more about their music and the message they were telling the world. I think the great thing about BTS is that they leave music videos up for interpretation and love hearing fan-theories; so never feel ashamed for how you may view it. Lord though, you are NOT ready for the touching letter V writes to Jimin in BV3, all the guys have to write to a specific member decided by the staff; it's a tear jerk-er. As an aside, they performed DNA in the US at the BBMA's I think, if you wanted to check out that video. But DT: WHEN ARE YOU GONNA REACT TO GCF?????!!! I know getting around the music in the video's can be difficult, I've seen other listen with an earbud and then put different music over the video so they play it safe; just saying. REALLY want you to check out GCF in Tokyo and Saipan specifically, Jungkook did such an amazing job.

I'm sure that there are more than two of the members in "the community" 😅 Maybe all of them. Personally I don't really mind if they love a man, a woman, both, their sexuality is not my business, but I'd be very happy that they send that message for the younger generations, that you can love everyone, you can love a girl, a boy, yourself, and you're perfect the way you are, the way you love. They are best friends. Both are the same age and that holds significance in relationships in Korean culture. They also went through hardships together. V especially had a hard time as he has lost close friends to suicide and both his grandparents that brought him up have passed. People are too quick to make assumptions. In Korean culture showing physical affection to friends of the same sex is common and not taken as a sign of your sexuality. Western cultures are not like that and are critical and make assumptions if there are physical displays of affection between friends of the same sex.

RM did come to mind first in writing a love letter, but I actually think they would all do well in love letters (in their own way of course). They all say the most touching things to Army, and I think he guys are inspired by each other. I honestly have never thought about DNA that way or even heard people say so, but hey, with BTS songs/lyrics, you can apply it how it means to you. I tend to think when it comes to love, their message is always universal and can also apply to ARMY. DNA is the song that made me aware of BTS’ existence, because it was the first song they performed on American television on the AMAs. It took me over a year after before I woke up and became a real fan, even though I was impressed by their talent and their style of music sounded like something I listen to. Now I regret missing a lot fo their years one existence lol.

Bro, their love letters are amazing. Anyone of them would own the love letters. They write them for their fans all the time. My fav is “for you”, so beautiful. There’s many reasons these guys connect to so many different folks. They are art, they express human emotions on a sweet, pure level. They write beautiful lyrics, then preform them. And part of what draws you in is that they are so good at showing these emotions, I think because they are actually feeling them. These guys are all about people being themselves no matter what. Whatever color represents you is all good. 🌎💜

They are open in supporting LGBTQ community. There's no sexual discrimination within these guys. And yeah the lyrics where it says " Don't worry love, None of this is a coincidence. We're totally different baby because we're the two who found our destiny" the lyrics implied something. When u think deeper into it what kind of relationship is considered as different from the what they called norms of the society, yes it's LGBTQ+.

Yes.. A lot of people HATE DNA and the ERA cause this is where BTS and BH really started to go all out in the west and a lot criticized them for being too westernized. Another reason is yes, the theme of of the song and the colors have been interpreted in support of LGBTQ+ and of course a lot of close minded people do not like it. I can not really pick their best video or song because I love them all. All of BTS's songs and videos are genius works of art. The one I feel would write the best, deepest, and a most romantic love letter to their love interest would be Suga. I feel he is just a word genius. I mean they all write great music and all. Also, BTS is an inspiration to others because they teach us to love ourselves. One loves themselves to the fullest this makes them able to fully love, care, and be in touch with others. I want to point out that BTS is for people having love no matter their sexual preference. Wow, DT you open my eyes to something I didn't even see in this song before, and I think your right. The part in the song where they show the split screen of V/Jmin, Jin is singing "Cuz we're the two who found the destiny", neither V or Jimin are singing at all so why show them. BTS always shows the members who are singing/rapping at the time, but not here...why? Also earlier in the MV they showed a split screen of JK/V but they were both singing at that point, so it followed the song as it normally does with their videos. Also at the split screen of JK/V the lyrics read "We're totally different baby". So that's all very interesting, maybe a little group dynamics being explained there.
