The girl drew a grimace upon the face of a once smiling puppet, as that of a man who had pretended happiness as a mask to miserableness. Again, a broken puppet attracts the girl’s attention, as she instead erases the face of the sad doll. A truly melancholy thought, a man who lost himself in something unreal. There she stood, in the center of a dark room, illuminated by a single light overhanging. A little puppet stage was set in front of her. She was the puppeteer, the player of hearts. A wooden box of discarded puppets lay to the side, strings cut and figures tarnished beyond repair. Toys. Mere toys to the eyes of the puppeteer. Opposing this box sat puppets dismantled and rearranged to liking, puppets obedient and waiting for her steady commanding hand to guide them on a stage. Hopeless, poor souls; helpless, to the girl they gave their worlds to. She crafted lies of pure beauty, terrible truths untold. However, something was unusual. The girl frowned at the puppet with the broken string. Her puppets were the finest of collection, there was no possibility of a defective doll. It was a shame, she quite liked this one. Upon closer inspection, she found the puppet to be abnormal. The face was no longer the passive grin, it was an expression of remorse. There were errors in the structure that weren’t there before, weaknesses exposed of the once perfect puppet. It somehow looked...like a stranger. She clearly remembered this puppet now, the one that she used to love the most. Something happened. What had occurred while she wasn’t looking? She had raised flowers that would never bloom; she had sparked dreams that would never come true. This was just the same...but... ...She hadn’t done this. This wasn’t her work. Could it be...? The puppet had acted out on its own?! She began to panic, her frantic trance causing her to breathe heavily. No, no, no. It was all falling apart! She turned the toy over and widened her eyes in disbelief. The stage fell to the floor and the room rumbled with instability. She had been caught. “I’m so sick of this fake love. I’m so sorry...” etched into the heart of the freed puppet. -oml this is so bad dear god- _I may edit this later, may not be the final product..._

This is what I love about the song most peopel when they first see this song night think it's about a break up and fake loves story for someone else and will think oh its another dramatic love story. But nope at all, if you actually look into the lyrics the album, and story line you will know its about them being fake to their selfs and trying to hide their true selfs and cover up their past traumas for example in the teaser you can see they are trading something from the past which if you know the storyline those items all are from a past bad memory and they are trading it in for something they thought would help them and try to forget their past selves instead of face them. At the end Jungkook is finally found the waterfall and unlocked the key to his own happiness? All of the others worries and past traumas come rushing in that's when they realized that all these so thought happy items will help them but instead it was only temporary so called Fake love because the actual way to loving yourself is to FACE YOURSELF yes Face yourself in order to love yourself this somf has helped many including me get though past traumas and face myself btw if you want a more detailed explanation of this it's from xceleste lol this is an essay
