The song was originally ' NEED YOU FRIEND' which makes more sense when you see the video. They changed it because girl sounded better.💜

Don't go further into the BU, because it heats up after this. The performance is geared more towards romance, with the body rolls, etc. However, this video starts what is known as Bangtan Universe, which begins a story line that involves all of the members. I cannot tell you how much this story line had the fandom in a chokehold for like five years. BTS challenges suicide, depression, peer pressure, mistakes, and loneliness. The story line runs through The Most Beautiful Moment in Life (1 & 2), Wings, and the Love Yourself albums. All of the videos are phenomenal. The story line concludes in a Webtoon. So, moving forward, if you all watch a dance practice that features a video from the BU, just know the video will have a much deeper meaning than the song.

fyi, a "trans girl" is still a girl. disheartening something so ridiculous was said. the song lyrics do not tie into the video content. the relationship between the members (they were paired up except for jin), their obvious happiness when together and troubles/sadness when alone was so blatantly obvious, but you were looking for "v@ginas" and "smoke" instead. also, the whole video is in color, it's just muted to match the melancholy content. i thought the game was cute at first the first few videos but now, not so much. i don't mean to be harsh, just reacting to your reaction and hope you find it constructive.

The girl may personify "hope". As you can see, the members are portraying how people differ in their reaction and on how they deal with loss or pain. This song shows us that life is not about expectation instead life is about going through it, especially pain and sorrow. BTS songs is poetry by itself.

So in conclusion V offs his father to protect his sister. Sometimes the song and MV don't go hand in hand like for this MV. This is the beginning storyline for the BTS Universe or the BU. They are all friends in highschool going thru their own struggles and Jin's character is the main who connects them all thru a special ability he has but that's all I'm gonna say here. They say girl in the song because lyrically it sounded better than friend. The mv is about how they’ve all got different shit going on but when they’re together they’re ok. This mv is the start of the BU (BTS Universe), which is pretty intricate. No points on the smoke by the way 😉. ✌️💜

For guys who have such a great history of in-depth reactions, this contest you are having feels like it is overtaking your focus. I love when you are analytical which elevates you as reactors. When the reaction centers on winning a game, it feels like you could be reacting to any group, video, tv show, sporting event or whatever. Why is this occurring with this content? Frankly I was hoping this particular video would get the best of Not Just Anime. It is a special work and so iconoclastic that it got an adult rating in Korea. Oh well. I forgot to mention that the flower petals that Jin has represents the 6 members with 6 petals he is the glue to the group as they are going their separate ways but he wants them to stay together. Lastly, originally this song was titled, I Need U Friend but chose to go with Girl, cuz it sounded less awkward.

Haze is caused by smoke…..he gets smoke AND hat WAS JHope and Jimin together. In this storyline……in the BU universe that ties to this song….Jimin and JHopes storyline does run together. The woman in V’s scene is his mother and the man he stabs is his abusive stepfather.

There is a storyline and some people will insist it isn’t romantic love, but they couldn’t write songs like this without having known those emotions. It is always both meanings. They follow the storyline and put their own views on love into it. They want people to be able to connect to it over love.
