This song really saved my life... i used to be really suicidal a year ago, and so i was about to kill myself one night. Just as a final parting from this world, I decided to listen to my favorite bts songs, magic shop being one of them. Now, i dont speak korean, but i was still curious snd decided to look at what these lyrics meant. This song gave me the strength to keep going and not give up on myself, and is the reason im thriving with a much better life today (UGHH IM TEARING UP 😭😭💜💜) BTS really did something that no one else did- pull me out of my depression and teach me to love myself... and i am forever grateful and indebted to them for that. I had mild depression but it got worse and worse to the point of cutting. I didn't want to tell anyone because I was scared. I found BTS when it was at its worst. I found BTS when I needed it the most. When I needed *them* the most. I am fine now and I didn't get any help from anyone but them. I didn't think I would ever get over my dark thoughts through music. It changed my life. I might not have been here writing this comment if it wasn't for our boys. Can i tell you my story? My family has gone broke because my dad quit his job because his coworker acussing him stole the money from the company , my mom treathened my dad if we lose the car she would divorce him......to my mothers eye i would never be enough like my sister......my sister is skinny,beautiful,smart,perfect. While me being called fat , brainless and ugly sometimes she told me that i'm just a beggar's child. Now here i am she called me a a disgrace, a mistake. When i hear these song i want to cry. It’s not just their songs… it’s them. I am 48 and I am in love with all of them. Seriously. I am a 90s Alternative/ grunge, classic rock kind of girl… I live for everything from Depeche Mode to Metallica to Pink Floyd and everything in between… but this group of guys just give everything to their fans. I don't wanna hear rude complains about how this is fake. Everything in my acc is fan made. I already put it in the description, write the hashtag and omit "official" word from the mv. (Bighit always uses "official" word). And now, I write it here if it's not enough. :'v Always look up on official account like ibighit, universal music japan, etc to check whether they have official music video for particular song or not Trivia fact: There is no official MV for The Truth Untold and Magic Shop -the reason why I made it in the first place- . If you happen to see it on KZbin, it's fan made. :) I wouldn't write this on the title bc when the first time I made this, it's for my own enjoyment to listen to their music while looking at video to be more engaged with the song. I feel distracted whenever I watch fanmade video that somehow have fmv in its title. Until I found a way for the title that not distracting for me, it will stay as it is. I want to say I love the message these young men are sharing with the world of all ages and in various stages of their lives. Let me tell you my story of finding out how to love myself long before I learned of BTS. The journey of loving myself began 11 years ago. I wanted to go to my 30th high school reunion yes I am an older fan but I am young at heart. I don’t look or act my age. I hated going back to my home town that I had left in 1983 because of the bad things that happened to me there. I also wanted to face down the high school class I was in. I was not popular but I did not know how to make friends as I had zedro confidence. Staying home alone and listening to music., books and tv were my friends along with food. When I arrived I walked the river and I decided at that point I was going to say good bye to all the bad things that ever happened to me there. My patients divorcing, being bullied, almost being gang raped in 8th grade and so on. As I walked the river I named it. I was freezing myself up. I also took photos. I love photography. I went to that reunion free and wanted to show the class me. I also did some drinking. I would later sober up in January after I went on one real good bender on New Year’s Eve where I cut my hair off that around my butt to a quarter inch short all while drunk. I drank every kind of alcohol I could find. But before I quit drinking I came back to the Lord at a Luis Palau crusade. I said bye bye. After that last bender I knew I had to stop. At that time in my life the biggest loser came on. So I joined a gym and began o get into weight lifting. Took me two years to get fit. I took Zumba. I was nicknamed at one point miss 24 hour fitness. I journaled all the garbage that needed to come out. I remember writing the Old Teresa is now dead and a new Teresa is now born. I never looked back and went forward in confidence. I found aS I LOVED ME AND GAINED CONFIDENCE oops cap locks on I’m now yelling.....others loved me. I also found my old freiod from back when we were almost kids i was 19 she was 22. We picked right off where we left of like 19 years never happened. My point is I no longer cared what others thought/. I got into the things I loved like kpop. Going down to la for kconlaq15 all by myself. People thought I was nuts. I had the time of my life. One of the best weekends of my life. In 2017 I had a heart attack and open heart surgery. Due to medications I gained all my weight back and then some. I tell people I love myself fit or fat. The body is a house the real us is inside of us. I went to Maui last year solo and had a blast. I went to the rose bowl to see BTS. My college friend sold me her friends tickets that had better. Seats. Sadly she went the first night I went second night. She picked me up at airport and I had my first in n out burger. I thought it was good but I make a killer burger that is homemade. I had a ball in Korea town meeting fellow army. I tweet to quarters for Korean bbq and enjoyed it. The food in Korea town is no joke. You could stay there a month and not hit every food joint. I loved the slurpin ramen bar. If you ever go to Korea town I recommend it. I was upset when I went to la in 2015 I never made it very far in Korea town as I was worn out from kconla15.. I had luggage and it was hot in august. I promised I would come back. So my point being love you and do the things you love. I am now exploring my m,usical siide. I have always played piano but when= I came back from Maiui I bought a hand crafted majhogany concert ukulele. I took lessons. My instructor recognized my musical talent and now I am learning electric guitar and acoustic guitar. Before guitar I wanted to a bts song on the ukulele and do it all in English. I did it and everyone loves it. It took me three months to make it look easy. Before I loved me I hit behind a mask and it is now shattered. So sorry for the novel. Just wanted to share my journey. I also do jam night once a month where I sing with a live band and now I am getting good enough to play with the band. Thanks to my instructor who believes me. I am learning from a master who knows guitar.

I honestly really want the boys to make a MV for Magic Shop cuz you know it’ll be beautiful 🥺😭 BTS is the first and maybe the last boy band to make me feel so special and comforted when I need someone most. I became an army in January and I was going through a lot of stress. They are a way for me to cope and let me tell you, as soon as I started watching their videos and listening to their music; everything melted away. These boys truly are magic 💜 I can’t begin to tell you how many times I’ve cried over them and it’s only been 4 months. Four months honestly feels like I’ve known for a long time. Thank you BTS for existing, thank you for making the music you do and helping us to love ourselves 💜💜 My parents think wanting to spend my money on merch is a waste but they do not understand the comfort and joy I get from it. I don’t have a lot of merch yet, but what I do have is incredibly special to me. The countless nights I’ve snuggled into my tata blanket and cried into the sleeves of my hoodie.
