I agree. I've been following hundreds of yt reactors since 2016 (the year i started stanning bts thru yt reaction videos) but none of them close to DT Parker. His thoughts, insights, everything..the way he "breaks down" every detail from lyrics to MV is just amazing. Salute to this man. I just hope he doesn't change like other reactors who started from reacting bts to other group for views. I have no issue of him reacting to other artist but i hope he "maintain" his sincerity and not for some views.

Most times people don't know how deep our relationship goes with the boys and think it's always about some kinda lover or something as that's what most artists sing about. Also, the original version of Make It Right deserves a listen too cuz Tae's part in the beginning had to make place for Lauv's verse (there's an MV for it as well). For anyone who knows about “Sea” (the hidden track off of the Love Yourself: Her album) BTS’ use of the desert and the ocean as metaphors for their journey as artists is nothing new. I loved how they used it and expanded on it in the animation portion of this video, while also including imagery from Carl Jung to hint to the shadow and defeating the shadow.

While you’re trying to get the meaning, I’m just tearing up since I haven’t watched the mv in awhile. That scene where everyone was laughing at the boy (BTS) and the girl (Army) standing by his side, I see that as Army is getting laughed at too for supporting them. It still disturbs me how people just automatically hate them even though they have no real knowledge of them. The ignorant really do not know what they hate.

If you didnt catch on, the character is BTS and the blanket represents ARMY. They’re saying how in their darkest days ARMY was there. We were the ones that the protected them and guided them through the darkness and we became the light for them to see. That’s why the blanket flew over the boy to cover him because In this metaphor they’re saying how they were cold and lost but we came to them and protected them and gave them warmth. ARMY was going on this journey with BTS right beside them, that’s why you see the character walking thorough the desert because now that they have us, they don’t want to give up anymore. ARMY gave BTS the wings to fly and now they can’t stop going up. Hi DT! Thanks for this :). Just wanted to say that Lauv and the boys have a really sweet relationship. He came to one of their concerts at Wembley last June, and they met him there. And yes, they did the Make it Right collab, and Who (which I completely agree, is beautiful). I actually loved Lauv before he became better known - his sound is right up my alley. There was only one radio station in my area that ever played his song I Like Me Better (before it took off), and I added it to the settings in my car so I could check for it throughout the day, I liked it that much :). Anyway, JK posted a short cover on Twitter last week, if you didn't see it, and that was another Lauv song, Never Not. Also beautiful, if you haven't checked it out. And JK's version.. there's nothing like his voice. As other people have mentioned, Ed Sheeran wrote the original version of Make it Right. I really think you can hear his sound in it. He hasn't met the boys, but he was following them when they started to get attention in the West, and Namjoon said he just sent them a couple of songs to choose from. I think he also insisted that they keep the chorus as he wrote it in English. I love that they built such a beautiful song together - it's a favorite for me. Yes, definitely check out the live versions people have mentioned, even if it's on your own time. And finally, yes, fan's noticed that the animated characters look a lot like Tae and the girl in the ON music video, so there's that connection and symbolism, too. Thank you again, and be well! 💜

I love the fact that you were able to figure out that the girl represents ARMY. No problem for you, at all. Did you watch the KZbin broadcasts of BTS concerts and musters? At the end of one of the concerts, I think it was the final concert of the Wings tour, ARMY held up signs with a slogan for the boys, "“The desert can become a sea if we are together”. The imagery and lyrics in this video show the main character, BTS, struggling through a desert and they also have a hidden track on the "Love Yourself: Her" album that's called "Sea" that also has lyrics about trekking through a desert and trying to figure out if they are in a desert or a sea. The desert vs sea is a good metaphor for BTS and their career and struggles, so when they saw the slogan signs that ARMY held up for them, they ended up with most of them crying. Even RM, Suga, and J-Hope were crying at the end of that concert.
