People may say this song doesnt only reflect BTS' experiences but also others'. Yeah that's right but just like you I think that the lyrics are majorly derived from experiences of the members (ofcourse how else so??). Back when they were rookies they wanted to be in top but now that they find themselves there they dsicover that they lose some opporunities a normal person usually possesses. This reflects the usual principle of u gain some u lose some. Some haters would think that the boys never get enough and complain even if theyre already very successful but in my view,im not even pissed that they always talk along these lines in most of their songs because it teaches us about how humans in general always suffer from always losing something. On the side note, I think Taeh's words back in 2013/2014 are becoming their real sentiment, that it's easy to fall down when one is on top. Another is Namjoon's words (also yrs ago) that "Fans only see what they wanna see".

This song is dedicated to SUGA and Yoongi. They’re two different personalities in the same person, seemingly battling each other. It’s a war between them, and Yoongi has shown us a part of him. It breaks my heart to always scroll and see comments about views and streaming and the “do you like min Yoongi” stuff because guys. He has put a piece of him for the entire world, and no joke, the ENTIRE FREAKIN WORLD, to see. So please, take the time to appreciate this masterpiece, be moved by it, understand the symbolism, and possibly even relate to it. Yoongi is in a way reaching out to all of us who have different personalities within us battling each other. But he is saying that we are all the same person, they are the same person. These personalities can never detach themselves from the body. Therefore, you have to accept that. He is also talking about sasaeng fans, about how he can’t go anywhere without being recorded and followed, so he barely feels like a person anymore. How is it fair that we don’t appreciate this?
