BTS does write their own songs. Even though it is not always and not solely, they have huge involvement in the songs making and finalization. They also get help from other people, either within their company or even from other artists, especially in Map of The Soul 7 album. They have credited a huge amount of artists (producers, song writers, etc) accross the globe in that one.

They like to collect many writings and demos from many artists, as sources, to be picked and composed with others according to their need and taste. It makes sense with the amount of albums, songs they released within a year, especially in 2018-2020.

There are 2 music videos for ON. This one is more dance focused and the other version is more storyline focused. Their first performance of ON happened on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon where they shut down Grand Central Station so BTS could perform there. But due to the pandemic they've yet to perform it in person for their fans. And to think only 2 members actually danced before joining their company is incredible. The kpop industry is very competitive and they usually hold auditions or recruit you. From there you a trainee from anywhere as short as 6 months to many years (the longest I've heard is 10 years, but that's rare). All the trainees usually live together and are trained in rapping, dancing, singing, acting, and even Korean (for trainees who don't know Korean) or other languages. Then they make cuts until they choose the group they want. Most groups that debut don't even make it to a year so the fact that BTS have been together for over 8 years and are still going strong says a lot.

"That guy can sing" of course, he's Jungkook, the main vocalist, the Golden Maknae (maknae means the youngest in the group) and he's amazing at everything, singing, dancing, rapping, sports, drawing, anything. All of them are so talented, the meaningful lyrics and message in their songs are incomparable.

Ok to learn a little bit about how they got together and their achievements I recommend watching “The most beautiful life goes on: A story of bts (2021 update)” by the Asian theory and to watch “an introduction to the 7 members of bts” by Ida S for information on each member. If anyone else knows a video that will showcase their personalities the best please reply lol. Their b-sides are amazing and each member has solos also. There are 3 rappers, they each have mixtapes. Their entire discography is so diverse so you can find anything. Hip Hop, Edm influence, pop, Soul, funk, ballads, R&B. Just let army’s know what you’re interested in! Also their live performances are top notch! If you’re ever interested in a choreography, it mostly will have a dance practice where you can see them do it in full. Nice reaction!

Also: I'm going out to L.A. to the BTS concert at the end of this month and one of the things I'm gonna do is go to this location where they shot the ON video. The dancers in this video is actually a dance crew in LA called "The Lab". The person who choreod this dance is the girl front and center at the beginning, her named Sienna Lalau and she's actually choerod a few of their dances. She was only 19 in this video. When you spoke about them bring together the best dancers, it made me think of J-Hope's rendition of "Chicken Noodle Soup" He went to LA and collected a ton of street dancers to join in his MV and credited all of them by name at the end of the video and it's just really awesome to watch

They're not just a group though... They are really family. That might sound cliche to describe a band but trust us for BTS they are each other's true brothers. They look out for each other and support each other. The older ones have taken care of the younger ones. Especially the youngest, they raised him from a very young teen to an adult. As others were saying, their talent is only half of it. They truly are funny, kind, humble, and down to earth individuals. Watch some of their non-music content like Run BTS! Festas, In the SOOP, interviews, behind the scenes of their music videos, dance practices. Their love and respect for one another is just inspiring. Once you learn their names, you won't even remember why you were worried forgetting in the first place. I just found out about their music last year and now I can tell them apart by the shape of their fingernails LOL! 1) Blue hair guy in all white, is JIMIN. He's a main dancer and singer (he studied contemporary dance). He is known as the cutie/pretty one of the group, and for his light high sweet tone. Vocal and dance line. 2) Crinkled black hair with face tat (drawn on for the vid), whos hair you liked is V (real name Taehyung). He has a deeper voice. Vocal and dance line. 3) Tall, deep voice rapper with the pink/purple hair is RM (Namjoon). He is a main rapper and the leader of BTS. He is the only one fluent in English. Rap line. 4) All black outfit with floppy brown hair rapper, is J HOPE (real name Hoseok, but many call him Hobi). He is lead dancer and was on an underground street-dancing crew before joining BTS and becoming a rapper. He has a very grimy, sarcastic and humorous tone when he raps. Very smiley (but not in this song). He also produces. Rap and dance line, sub-vocals. 5) Short rapper with black leather jacket and grey-brown hair, deep voice, is SUGA (also known as Agust D under his solo stuff, real name is Yoongi. He is known for appearing "savage" in his rap style and personality, but he is deep-hearted and emotional musically, and very kind and funny. He and RM produce alot of BTS' content. He originally auditioned for their company to be a producer, not an entertainer. Rap line 6) Jean jacket, tall black hair is JIN. He's known for his high belting voice and as a main visual for the group. He studied theater/acting and is nicknamed "World Wide Handsome", cuz he's handsome lol. He had to learn to sing and dance from scratch when he joined BTS. Very impressive. Comedian of the group and the oldest (which is a big deal in Korea). Vocal line. 7) And last but not least, the tall muscular one with the black hair and crazy vocals you commented on is JUNGKOOK. He's the youngest, and the lead singer. He's often front and center in their formations (but there is no "main one" in BTS, in terms of overall talent). He's known for his boyish conventional good looks and crazy vocal control, typical pop voice that can do anything. Vocal line, dance line, sub-rapper.

THIS is the song that made me Army! I had never heard of BTS, except I saw their billboard once for Levi stadium. But I follow Fallon and BTS performance at Grand Central Terminal popped up & I thought "Grand Central? That's iconic, I gotta check this out." His dance style includes popping, locking, breakdance, house, hip-hop, street, krumping, contemporary, modern dance, ballet, Jazz, korean dance and martial arts. Jimin was THE top student in Busan arts high school for modern dance and also academically. When he was younger he used to go to dance battles a lot bc he loved dancing, and some say he’s won them. BTS members said they felt scared and pressured because they suddenly became famous around 2018. So they were thinking about disbanding, and nevertheless, they said they decided to move forward with determination to think only about the fans and themselves. The albums that have been released since then are the Map of the Soul series. The albums are filled with songs that reconsider their inner self, the relationship between the seven members, and the relationship between them and fans. Boy with luv contains a message that they will fly toward fans, not the sun, with wings attached by ARMY. And after listening to Black Swan, you can better understand how they feel by reading On's lyrics. :)

I've been an army for a quite long time but i still always got so mesmerised by them lol. They're an amazing group of people, not just their amazing talents but their personality is out of this world (when u get to know abt them u'll know what i mean), to see each of them has their own personality as an individual but they're still works as a group and doing a lot of good things through their music and their message. I enjoy music a lot but when i get to know what they are, their personality, i have no choice but to stan them for the rest of my life. Thank you for your reaction!

8 yrs as a group but they been friends for more than 10 yrs already, yes they argue but they always say they are family. They are bestfriends in real life who have common interest and love and that is MUSIC. Individual talents and great artists being put together was a miracle. I think no next BTS will happen in century.

A few interesting facts about the mv for BTS "ON" official video: The dance portion was choreographed by Sienna Lalau, from the LA area when still in her teens. She appears in the video leading the dancers up front & center at the beginning of the video. Sienna also choreographed BTS's "Dionysus" performance dance (watch it live, amazing) and J-hope's "Chicken Noodle Soup " (and dances in it also). The dancers were from THE LAB, a multinational dance troup Sienna works with & who BTS has used while on tour in the US. The band appearing in the mv is "The Blue Devils", a competitive Drum and Bugle Corp . The video was filmed at the Sepulveda dam outside LA.

One of the best ways to learn their faces and voices is to watch the NPR Tiny Desk Concert. There are three live songs and it's amazing, but they are sitting down in static positions. From left to right, they are J-Hope (rapper/dancer), Suga (rapper), Jungkook (singer/dancer and youngest member), V (singer/dancer), Jin (singer and eldest member), RM (group leader, rapper), and Jimin (singer/dancer). It's also really good for getting an idea of their dynamic and how they interact with each other. So good. The three songs are Dynamite, Save Me, and Spring Day.
