Blue & Grey was originally written by Tae and his friend in English. It was supposed to be part of his solo album. He was going through a difficult time during the early part of the pandemic. However, after the other members heard it, they wanted it for the BE album. So, the rapline added their rap lyrics, and Tae changed the English lyrics to Korean.

They released it in 2020, but Taehyung wrote it when he was having such a hard time in 2018 and questioning if he should continue as an idol.

When they preformed this on MTV Unplugged - oh my - it was one of my favorites! As well as the PTD concert performance. Tae wrote this song! Love BTS! Love V!

@AB-ms1vh I think OP just meant that the song started with Tae's demo and ideas. Just the same the fandom usually says RM wrote Spring Day because it was his idea and he submitted the demo, although 5 others including Suga also have writing.

BLUE AND GRAY by V🔥🔥🔥V did V justice because it's his song, dwl. It was originally an English song for his mixtape but the members loved it and asked him to use it as a group song so he co wrote and co produced the Korean version.

Blue & gray!! It's a great song. It was supposed to be in Taehyung's mixtape because he wrote it, but the members liked it and they included it for the album. It's a very emotional song. Before I start watching the video, I hope you watch its live performance! + I'm happy with the way you listen to their albums and I hope for more BTS content , purple u 💜.

Blue & Grey is such a masterpiece!! I thank Tae so much for sharing this song with us, and his voice obviously suits the song so well since he was the main composer and writer of the song (alongside one of his friends and the rapline who wrote their own parts) 💜💜😭 you have to listen to the live unplugged and the live performance from PTD on Stage!

I love blue and grey and i remember the first time i heard it i cried, i cried so hard. But telepathy just came and swept me up my feet. Its something i can jam to on a Sunday 😂. Thanks pat for all your words of encouragement and im glad to be on this journey with you💜💜

Blue and Grey is one of my favorite songs from them, my favorite in BE (with Dis-ease). You heard Telepathy on the Festa room vídeo you watched, the one with the medley of a lot of songs. Telepathy was the last song They sang.

Yes!! The MTV Unplugged versions of both are sooooooo good!!! and Blue & Grey was my go to for a really sad time last year, I felt that deep in my spirit - my gawd. One of the many reasons I love BTS 💜

Blue & Grey is so good but sadly this lyric video isn't accurate, I realize you aware sometimes they aren't but I hope you get a chance to checkout a better translation from doolsetlyrics. This song is so lovely but heartbreaking. I remember when they were planning BE during the pandemic they did several lives on youtube which is very rare for them to do anymore it's usually on Vlive (or Weverse now) they go live on where they worked on the album or planned it. It was really cool to see some of the behind the process making the album but in real time or live. Even though they kept some details vague to not spoil everything we still got lots of info, it kinda felt like army was in the room with them as they were planning the album. Blue & Grey was first written by V in English and possibly would have been on a solo album or project. V played the song on a canoe during In the Soop season 1 (we got to hear a bit of it when it aired), the members happed to hear it while there, loved the song and wanted to add it to BE so lyrics in Korean were written as well as the rapline doing their own verses.

I really want you to react to V’s ‘winter bear’ …. i’m telling you I would listen to this on repeat. On KZbin there’s an hour long loop and Id fall asleep to this shit when I had anxiety attacks.
