13:14 YAAAASSSS JIN'S SILVER VOICE APPRECIATION 😭😭😭😭 he used to get very little part back then, maybe because he didn't start out as a singer. But he surely evolved quickly, and in this song he killed it. So ethereal, so soft, so angelic. The breathy technique he's using here suits the lyrics perfectly. It sounds like desperation, agony, pain, fear of losing. Jared described it perfectly, "Jin in this song sounds like the most beautiful version of every single member of BTS combined. It doesn't sound like a member of BTS".

So happy he has more parts nowadays. But one of the reasons he didnt have alot pf parts was not because his voice wasnt as good it was becoz of their choreos. When its turn to sing u will be upront & center of the choreo.. and Jin was a good dancer already but in his words wasnt as fluid yet like the other 3 singers. RM & Yoongi since they were rappers woud have more rapper freestyle moves when its their turn but the vocal line had to perform the intricate choreo while singing. Of course Jhope didnt have any problem either rapping or singing while dancing but he also had lesser lines than Namgi because he was still growing as a rapper, and exploring his lyricism and sound as a newer rapper in comparison with Namgi who were undeground. So yeah, Im so proud of Jin who worked his ass off so much 💜

Butterfly the song that made me an Army. My sister showed me Buttefly live performance back in 2016 with all of their MVs. I liked them.. But this song kept me there... And didn't want to go back to my normal life.. And here I'm still with BTS. My family.. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 and when they sings this song at Busan concert.. I cried so much.. If u guys don't know, this song has something huge to do with the bangtan fictional universe. BU deals with butterfly effects. It rlly captures what happens in the entire storyline so well, the desperation for someone to just stay. There was a theory going on around 2017. Rm's part, he pleads for someone to not enter a forest. In the book, a boy goes into a forest. From what I remember, the forest shows him delusions, ideal world that he loses himself in? Bc the boy hated his reality. It reminds us of Jin in the universe, where he goes into time loops, going back in time to save his lost friends, to watch over them, afraid to lose them again. Like butterflies, all 7 get very fragile and weak, so their unstable selves also make their friendship fragile. They were scared to hurt the other, and cause them to shatter and break. If jin looked away just once, his friend could disappear. Which then would results in a butterfly effect, changing the entire destiny of all 7 and Jin would once again have to enter time loop, or the woods, searching for his perfect delusions, or ideal world. Cuz Jin too, hated his reality where all his friends were lost and gone. If you haven't already, it'd be interesting to dive into bangtan universe, xCeleste does an amazing job of breaking down the entire 9 year storyline.

I fell into the bts realm right before the pandemic with On and Black Swan, but butterfly 🦋 touched me emotionally so deeply, despite not knowing the lyrics and the meaning, the music spoke for itself, I cried silent tears hearing it for the first time and only realising that, once the song was over. Butterfly is the reason I became an ARMY. There aren't enough words to describe this masterpiece❣ If I needed to rank their songs, Butterfly will stay on Number 1, no matter what to me! 🦋 Thank you guys for your reaction once again☺

This song means so much to me! One of my best friends I’ve been friends with for really long time died last June of cancer and she loves butterflies and I actually sent her this song because it is my favorite BTS song right before she told me that she had cancer. She was gone within nine months. At her funeral they let out a big box of butterflies into the air and it was so beautiful and now every time I hear the song I think of her actually so perfectly with how I was feeling about her all during the time that she was sick, I was afraid to lose her and I did. There is actually a video for butterfly. Also, it’s part of the EU. Also, the first time I heard butterfly was after I was watching some content within the first year I was ARMY I think someone asked JK if he could only sing one song of theirs for the rest of his life what would it be and he said butterfly, and he sang the course that he always sing so beautifully. And I was really surprised that you didn’t mention him because his chorus is the soaring beautiful part of it that I love. Borahae!

I think this song is a great example of why I always find it fascinating to find out which songs are on the setlist of a BTS concert. Because this song is beautiful on its own, but when you pay attention to the lyrics and then think about it in the context of which concert they chose to perform this at. To me, this song made me so emotional to hear (and still does) that night, because it felt like BTS was saying "please don't forget me/us" just before entering the military. At least that's what I enterpreted from it.

PS. the choreo is made by the choreographer Brian Puspos. BTS - and especially Jimin and JK - has loved his style of choreography for a long time. They've covered his dances on a few occations too. And this last half year he, and other legendary dancers, joined JK as his dancers for Seven, 3D and Standing Next To You.

the butterflies at the beginning reminded me of YET TO COME Busan T-T Also i totally relate to the story of your mothers love for butterflies, my maternal grandfather had an amazing affinity for dragonflies. Hey! Unfortunately I only found the channel today. I'm always watching videos about reactions to BTS, their members and music, and the channel has shown genuine interest and a sincere respect and admiration for BTS and their background and us, the ARMY. You really dive into the boys' story, removing layer by layer of the song to analyze the lyrics along with the video, identify the symbolisms and representations, and understand them in the light of Korean culture. Furthermore, just searching for material to help with understanding, you still read the comments. Congratulations. I'm also one who was “found and unearthed” by BTS, I don't remember how, but I think it was through Instagram. And I was frustrated and to this day I still am because my students told me about them over 5 years ago and I didn't research them. And they were students who shared the same tastes in Asian culture: anime, manga... But I'm happy to be living it now! Thanks.
