When Namjoon started crying my tears were flowing down like a river. I'am not sad about their hiatus or break cause I support them all seven regardless, but it was the tears and sadness that they expressed which made me so sad, obviously there are things they can't tell us and they are having a hard time, seeing people you love cry and be sad is the worst.

I agree that they should take whatever time they need for their personal and professional health and happiness. My point is that there’s nothing wrong with us reacting the way we did as fans just because Jimin and Hobi were spotted enjoying a game together. It doesn’t make their emotions in this video any less genuine and we should hope that they’ll be having fun together as they are right now even after their disbandment in the future, whenever that is. It shouldn’t matter whether or not they’re happily watching a game together when this video was released. I’m just glad they’re having fun.

this whole video and announcement actually made me feel relieved. i've been a fan of bts since 2015 and although i've enjoyed all their content since 2020 and you-know-what (since they are bts and everything they do is charming and enjoyable), i totally get their description of feeling like they have been a bit off-track. Hearing that they planned for a hiatus after '7' makes so much sense to me. It breaks my heart in the best way to now learn that they kept going with 'BE' and the english songs because they wanted to be there for the fans throughout this awful time - it speaks so much of their characters. and i like 'yet to come' a lot, but just yesterday i was thinking that i sort of miss rm's honesty? his thoughts, ambitions and philosophy have always felt to me like such a driving force for bts's creativity, so hearing now that he has had "no time to think" and that he doesn’t know what to think of bts as a group also makes so much sense to me. I felt closer to them watching this than i have in years, i think. I can see them mourning that things will never be what they used to be (probably especially when it comes to performances and stuff), but i also truly, truly believe them when they say better things will come. Even if they somehow never get together again musically, better things will come. RM crying because all he wants is for them (army included, i think) to "get together and talk and be happy without thinking of the rules of the world" says it all - that's what bts truly means to me. They are people before they are anything else. I hope their break is long and fulfilling 🙏❤️❤️

Army there's something I need to say. I don't know if I opened up about this on this channel before, but I am a survivor of domestic and mental abuse from age 2-14 by my own parents. I don't want to get too into that for obvious reasons but let's just say I feel physically and mentally damaged. I feel like I'm not a person, I'm just a human punching bag for people to do whatever they want with me, even my own blood. So the saying that Bts finds us when we need them the most is so true. I was hours away from suicide and I heard a Bts song playing in the mall I was in that day. It was Dynamite. I immediately forgot about everything that was going on with me and just enjoyed those 3 minutes like it was forever. I went home and instead of going through what I had planned, I looked up who Dynamite was by and the rest is history. I immediately listened to song after song, music video after music video, crack video after crack video and eventually made it a goal to tell them apart. It'll be a year in July for when they first found me and I wish I could go back to that day. As I'm sure most of you have already watched the 2022 Bts Festa and I'm not going to lie. It left me feeling sad and bawling my eyes out and immediately had a PTSD episode. My grandma came into my room and asked me what was wrong and I just said that everything was okay. She wanted to take me back to my therapist immediately but I convinced her I was fine.The first thing that came to my mind when Bts said they were going solo for a little bit, it just made me think that another person was leaving me, just like my parents, just like my friends, just like my sister, etc. And I know that's so selfish of me so you don't have to tell me that, especially since they've been through so much as well so I should relate to how they feel. I just can’t imagine my life without them and I realize they are a huge part of my life. So I know that Bts said that they will eventually come back and be better than ever. But I just have so much fear in my head that that will not happen. What if they like their solo careers better? What if they go to the military and they realize that this is a good place to end? I know, I’m being very selfish again. If I went to the military, the last thing I would want is to do anything again so I would make a horrible kpop idol. But Bts has become people that I watch everyday and just relate to. I feel closer to them than to my so-called parents and sister which is just as bad as it is good. Because when they do eventually resign as Bts, I will feel empty again with nothing really to fill that void. And one thing I hate about whenever I comment about things like this, I get attacked by so called Army and they respond by saying things like “Right now let’s focus on the good things that are coming like solo albums. No more negativity” I can’t even comment about my personal struggles without getting completely ignored. And some Army’s have a habit that I don’t like of sometimes being overly positive. Like if you say something totally valid like “Bts got robbed at the Scammy’s again” They will just reply to stop looking at the negatives and focus on the positives. No. You're allowed to be upset, you’re allowed to be angry about something that is soooo valid. Like WTF? But this is getting way too long so for those who read all the way through, Kamsahamnida. Thank you for everything that you have done for us Bts and Army, thank you for never giving up on them when I wasn’t an Army and had no idea who they were. I will always support and love them no matter what. Love you all

I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND. I am a survivor too. The one thing BTS showed us through their struggles is that it will be alright. " This too shall pass". It may sound contrived, but it's true. I'm so glad that I watched "The rise of Bangtan" again before watching this. It helped me have more empathy for them. They really, really need this break. They need to live full lives (partnered, etc). It will give them what they are missing. It will enrich their artistry. They have made lots of great content & I feel comforted & fulfilled with the enormous amount that I can watch & rewatch. I wish you the best in your journey towards healing & truly loving yourself. Since I have never been in the same situation i won't act like I totally get you but I emphasize, i like that you like them and have something to fill up your life with fun not to think about bad stuff , I am gonna be real with you since you're and I am sure that many armys might kill me for this but I don't think it's good idea for them to be such a big part of your life specifically since you have mental health issues but maybe try to find real life friends, some may say that I am saying it as if it's too easy , but just one person is enough , some one that can do one thing listen and worry about you that all we need , it's gonna be a long process but if you find that someone that at least shares your basic life principles with you as in he doesn't have to like the same music, food ,fashion , etc but he has to be totally against violence, appreciate mental health and worry about his words and actions impact on poeple , what i am trying to say is that it okay for friends to be different but they had to share a Similar base , anyway if you find that person all you have to do is be nice to them ,get to them , be sincere and spend fun time together , and that's it a pillar for life, a real one that actually knows about you and can help you , even better if he was an army , having a crappy family is the worst but there is plenty of good poeple out there who can help , and most importantly remember that some rejecting you , leaving you , is never going to be your fault, no one and I mean no one has the right to treat badly as long as you didn't do the same for them , so if someone doesn't appreciate you screw them to heaven and back , respect your therapist advice and treatment, it's fine to seek help , I have mental health issues too nothing wrong with that , it's doesn't make you clingy ,dependent nor week cause at the end end of the we are social creatures and we want people's support just don't seek it from the wrong kind , take care if your grandma ,once in a while do something new , fun , watch a run bts ep and laugh your heart , play music and dance like crazy just try stuff you never new what's gonna make you happy nor who you're gonna meet there , i just need you to know that there is much to life then stupid heartless parents and bts , this your one chance to live that was given cause God decided so why do you have to waste it cause of someone who deserve to die haven't they taken enough from you ,who are they to say so , take care of yourself and be kind to people who deserve it and good luck with life , I hope this doesn't make you feel like I am butting into your business it's just when i try to comfort someone I end up planning their life for them

Sad news for ARMY, for sure, but to be realistic.... These boys (now men) have such a huge fan base now (old and new fans) who would support each one of them no matter what they do and this will only help them shine even brighter and become even more popular on their own. They really reached their top of popularity as a group for now and maybe realized that all these Grammys are not worth their personal wishes. Doesn't mean they would never give concerts as a group and they plan on continuing RUN BTS (the show). But I am happy they can start creating their own music (not that they haven't done it before) and showing it to the world as well as hopefully having some normal private life now. Lets just stay optimistic and supportive for each of them (it is a heavy task and keeps you busy) starting with Hobi! Cant wait for their solo projects! They gonna do great! I am both sad and super excited. But seeing them feel the way they do, feeling trapped and feeling so guilty like they are letting ARMY down is sad. But RM broke me, once Jimin started and than as soon as RM broke I couldn't hold it in. It sucks because I know there are going to be some that will to make them feel guilty too. But for me even though I am sad, I am also excited to see what they do. I have been wanting them to release solo music and I am so hoping that Tae does some more acting and if he does I will be there to watch. I am glad they are doing this, especially since they feel the way they do. I want them to happy and have their own personal growth, something they have wanting for the past 3 yrs and have been holding off on. It is time for them to discover themselves, something they have not yet had the chance to do since they have been doing this for so long as a group. Plus, it is not like they are leaving each other. Sounds like Jimin is only to work with Yoongi on some things and they still do work it the same building. They was still see each other, just not on a consistent basis. I am proud of them for making such a hard decision. All I want is for them to be happy and I will for sure be support each and every one of them with what ever they do. I am can't wait to hear what kind of music they do individually and what other projects happen. I just really wish I could give them a hug. 💜

I too am devastated and cried a lot when I heard. I can def understand them wanting to express their individual styles and music. and to explore other things as well. maybe even start dating. and also having to serve in the military. it saddens me though because I'm sure they've known for some time this was happening but we just found out. no easing into the sad news lol. they literally have helped me battle my illnesses and allowed me to smile and laugh with them. i hope they continue to stay on social media and keep us in the loop on their solo projects. hopefully those not in Korea will also have access to BTS solo projects. I will wait patiently my health willing for our guys to get together again. and hopefully we will also see them pair up on some of their solo projects too. although I hear Yoongi is an expensive producer lol

I am saddened, but I am glad that they are taking time individually to work on individual projects, and grow as individuals now that they are growing up and maturing. Not put a pressure of timeline on them. They've been going for nearly a decade. I can't imagine especially the pressure on Namjoon as leader. Trying to write and produce not only for bts, but trying to work on their solo work at same time. Trying to please everyone. They will be back for chapter 2 stronger. According to a statment from HYBE (via AP news) BTS's solo projects plan is not a 'hiatus' as they will still be working on projects as a group, as well as individually. "BTS are not taking a hiatus. Members will be focusing more on solo projects at this time.

I doubt it will be years as they still are under contract to hybe , as it is we don't know what they have already completed work on. I would not jump to conclusions about the amount of time they will take.

@@annwashington471 they will release music under the contract of hybe, they cant leave the company because the company has "armys" copyrighted so their individual ventures will still have to be done under hybe. They revealed that all of them are working on solo albums, they cant release it too close otherwise they would be competing with each other on music shows which I'm assuming they will avoid so my guess is at most 2 albums per year. If all members decided to release the albums for sure, it would definitely take like 3 years.

Jimin has a habit of drinking water or drinking alcohol when he holds back his tears. Throughout the video, it was even more heartbreaking to see other members worried about Jimin, and when Jimin couldn't hold back his tears and cried, the other members began to cry. There are too many haters, especially for bts. BTS has always told us that it is okay, but they seem to be very hard and difficult because they are human. In particular, when the song "Dynamite" was released, many malicious comments were received that the lyrics were written only in English, and now they are receiving many malicious comments such as exemption from military service😭

As a matter of fact there are many mistranslation here on FESTA dinner the word hiatus is mistranslated.actually they are not in hiatus, they will continue with their group activities but there would be more solo projects. As JK said on his VLive yesterday night, rm on Weverse also. They clarified that they are not on hiatus. Jk said that they will just take a break on doing group music temporarily to recharge themselves to do create good quality music again. He also clarified that taking a break doesn't mean they will not be active as a group. He said that They would be active as BTS and still do group activities and film stuff together such run BTS and other stuffs. They will just focus more a bit on their solo projects while still doing group activities and after their solo projects they would be back together again as a whole. It's just a temporary break. Don't worry they would be back soon. I'm so mad and furious to those entertainment, media's and companies who are spreading nonsense and rumors, who's twisting BTS words to gain money from the audience. Also this videos many click baits and etc. I hope they will receive their karma, and end up bankrupt , those fools for using their name for money and what they did to BTS causing more damage and creating mess. I hope karma would find them. What hurts was that the members, fixing and explaining those twisted words on what media said since they know that some army's would misunderstood what they have said on dinner desta. From that moment you know how much they love us to check on us, reassure as that they are not on hiatus and will not disband. I'm gonna copy and paste my comment from before to share my thoughts with you as well. This is the most depressing festa video. This was probably the hardest thing to listen to from bts asides from their mama speech from 2018. I completely understand why they had to make the decision that they did and i support it. I want the boys to be happy. I want them to have their own unique colour. I want that for them. And i know they need that. They worked so hard for us and deserve some rest and enough space to breathe. I love them so much for being open, loving and trusting towards us. Showing as much as they can on the table and letting us in. I'm so blessed to be apart of something so beautiful and special. We'll be waiting for your return. All seven have our support. 💜 I was able to keep myself together throughout this entire video and was smiling a lot. However, my heart was aching and the minute jimin started tearing up/crying, it made me start crying and then namjoon started and THREW ME OVER THE EDGE. You can tell he was holding back so much emotion and pain.. it was one huge release of stress. I'm so upset to see our leader break down like that. He must've felt better afterwards to finally get some of those thoughts off his shoulders. All of that pressure he endures. They tried to be so strong for army. I truly hope the best for them and that happiness is sent their way. My heart will take a few days to stop hurting like this.. i am so proud of them no matter what. It's so nice to see yoongi in such a bright and happy mood. He was all smiley and excited about his future projects, his dancing and practicing his vocals. Love to see it! My first thoughts were like a novel but my second thoughts are based on ARMY'S reaction....This was way more dramatic than it needed to be. Let me explain, we need to be pushed out of our comfort zones when it comes to how we love and think about BTS. They are changing and growing up as they are not boys but men. Their are in an idol industry but they are not idols at least not in the sense that we need to worship them at an alter. They are 7 different people that need to find music for themselves how they want it to feel sound and look. Remember bangtan was someone else brainchild and it has alot of hands in it. There is only so much of a song you can share between 7 very talented, very creative people. Maybe not all of them will dance moving forward we saw that in PTD on stage in person. They each have like 14% percent control over BTS and that is generous seeing as the band has the aforementioned people with their creative ideas involved. Another example the BU from research was mainly bang pd and Lumpens idea. Yes it hurts as they in their peak and a 3rd of their fans came in just in the last two years, however Jin is about to be 30 and JK 25. However, they are yet to experience a normal life where they could be amongst the masses and not have people ask were the other 6 other people are. I want them to travel, have girl friends and girlfriends and to stop being treated like they are a public commodity by their fans. They need to wonder and wander and have 100 percent choice in their own lives. You saw how people reacted to the mere thought of Taehyung being with or even being friends with a girl. THIS IS NOT NORMAL OR HEALTHY. They need to break up this group identity for their sanity. And for them to love each other forever. For RM to say he is a prison inside himself and for him not to want to be stuck in the world of rules he has been living in is so sad. They have been feeling like this since 2018 and for them to keep going even when they had the right after 7 years to disband makes me feel their sincerity that they won't ever stop running. So trust the change.

HUBE CEO has released a statement saying that they are not disbanding, that they expanding activities to be inclusive of solo activities. That they are continuing group activities but will allow for more solo activities.

I think the timing is good - they need to renew themselves individually without the stress and demands of yet another deadline. I think the timing is good also because they have millions of ARMY and there are those in the world who might seek to manipulate/control BTS in order to manipulate/control ARMY (you know what I mean). That was not unexpected. Once I saw that Hobi was performing solo I knew it was on the cards but it was hard to hear anyway. SHINee successfully pursue solo careers and come back together from time to time to record as a group so hopefully BTS will do the same. I agree with RM that Butter, Dynamite and PTD, though fun were not what BTS was about. They have addressed so many social issues in their work that to do three lightweight songs in a row was moving away from their essence. This next chapter will be very interesting. I’m just sorry that I found them so late but I’ll continue to be ARMY and give them my support. They’re like chicks flying the nest so I’m rooting for them to land safely. Fighting!

If the issue of BTS's enlistment is not resolved by the end of June, all enlisted. The plan for the 7 members to choose a break and conduct individual activities may be a military enlistment issue.

Unfortunately that they have mandatory military services coming up. Jin needs to go by the end of the year. Not sure if Jin and Sugar will go together or not. Next year will be JHope and RM. I think by doing solo projects now. They will establish themself as solo artists before they leave. That's why RM kept saying they are kind of late doing this. Most KPOP groups will have their solo career sometimes during their 3rd years. I don't want them to be separated but this is the best for the individual members' future.

The law in Korea is strict and everyone knows it. There is no military exemption for singers and celebrities. BTS is the pride of Korea and The previous government tried to exempt them from military enlistment but failed to pass the law by traditional and radical politicians and only got a postponement. And the current government is a Conservative government. Jin will be 30 years old and some time their producer said that when the time came they would comply with the law. Unfortunately, the majority of the population is against the exemption and says that BTS has to set an example. It doesn't matter how much profit they make in taxes for Korea. There are cases like Singer Steve Yoo who was banned from entering Korea. I'm from a Country that is not like that and I learned to respect the culture and laws of others even if I do not agree with this obligation. I saw this coming, Jin is leaving for the army and bts is not bts without all 7. Their break will probably be a few years due to their army enlistment, each member will do an album until there civil duty is over, plus they want to experience life. I'm happy for them but there is a lump in my throat, bts will never be the same, I'm pretty sure when they return they will be more mature and not the goofy boys we remember. I miss them already.

That's a fair opinion. I think it's a bit of a change since so many of us at the end of the day are ARMYs and are satisfied with what we have left to discover and appreciate again This question has been asked to this reactor and others several times in the past, and it wasn't taken the best way from some of us (for some odd reason bc it's their channel, let them do whatever the hell they want). I especially have no reason to stop anyone from reacting to anyone else. Those who just don't want to see other content could turn off notifs for a while and come back whenever BTS or stuff about the reactor's life (like vlogs) are uploaded. However, if I was a KZbinr, I'd just keep digging at stuff I've never seen before, revisit things, or focus on other interests for a little bit. I personally love anime and K-dramas, and that could totally fulfill me as I continue to expect BTS's variety show, solo content, and upcoming group activities (like Hyundai/World Cup stuff coming up, even if it's minimal). But at the same time... A question for myself... How is that different from checking out other groups? That should totally be fine, like how I really want to be respectful to your comment The answer is I don't know besides feeling a different connection with BTS. I've been into K-pop for over a decade now, but after BTS, I only listen to them and check out others from time to time, but it's never BTS level. I personally appreciate Mamamoo and how they're different as a vocal-orientated group with different colors of individuality and messages of women empowerment. I'd love to see him check out them, but at the same time, I have mixed feelings as I always come back to BTS. I only vote for BTS. Being a multi felt so weird considering that at the end of the day I'm only supporting BTS. Please rant more xD I grew up loving BTS and they always remind me of so many beautiful memories. However along this path I realised the parasocial relationship I had developed with them + toxicity from armys affected me(80% armys in my country are young teens and most if not all are very immature) so I decided it would be best to take a break from them and kpop in general to have an introspection. During this I had discovered and loved myself as a person a lot more, developed multiple hobbies and relationships and this was all possible with the free time I spent earlier in watching kpop content esp bts inside a small room. With covid came sitting in the room+free time again, I made a resolution I would not dive too deep into any grp or indulge in any fan activities or communities except a handful reactors on YT so as not feel as emotionally attached. I like listening to various kinds of music and understanding various relationships/dynamics; sticking to 1 grp imo is very restrictive. I know a lot actually yearn for this type of attachment and thrive in it(I’m supposing you do) but it was too draining for me and stopped me from growing as an individual. I too apologise for responding late and rambling on top of it 💜
