Dis-ease is like Top 2 on BE for me. It made me nostalgic for old Bangtan. And the RL really got to shine. I love Hobi's voice and I think this is his longest verse on an OT7 song in like 5 albums. So it was nice.

This song came from jhope when he felt burn out cuz of the pandemic. The whole album is about all the emotions they felt during the pandemic ( the good ones , bad ones, the middle ones, etc) that's why it's called BE. The translation it's really inaccurate. this production has 'hobi' all over it, i love his production style. but the lyrics and concept they went with was so relevant to today and like you said im constantly surprised with the messages they bring to light.

Dis ease is about the mental afflictions that can affect humans. The rappers give examples of what haunts them(workaholic /unrest when not working) and suga mentioned how having those afflictions is inherently human(there are so many of them in the medical book that documents mental illness). After the bridge they all come to the conclusion it is better to not hide what affects you but to try to heal it. A very uplifting song that removes the stigma around mental illness (something that during covid lockdown became unbearable for many) and focuses on healing.

"Speaking serious substance AnD its relatable cause it's your story..." this is what BTS does.....YALL I can't make it to one live twitch and you went the F off with BTS.....damn I missed the good stuffs. Though being a fan of KPOP there are lots of good stuff but BTS are my guys like you know? This song is relatable to so many people.....the grind is the same for almost everybody but it's just a different background. I've toyed with quitting nursing during this pandemic because it's soul crushing and morally injurious....like on a level I can't even describe but I'm making it work for a multitude of other very important reasons. We all suffer from dis-ease in this day and age......glad yall loved this one. It's a daily play for me 💜

Taehyung is my ultimate. He pulled me in first with his character bc I saw his funny moments compilation first. Didn't know he was in BTS. 😅 Then saw him dance, saw his swag and facial expressions, took another step closer, then I heard him sing in "Hold me tight" live and I realized I was in love. Then discover everyone else in bangtan and that's when I dived into the rabbit hole. 💜 Guess he's right, there's really just one person who chooses you, and that's Taehyung for me. I like hearing your thoughts on BTS’ songs. To answer your question: I love all BTS members. They all are inspirational people and have great individual personalities but Jungkook chose me a few years ago and is my favorite since 😅 He surprises me every time, he is mad talented and is capable of reaching every goal if he puts his mind into it because on top of his many talents he is a hard worker and a perfectionist. His passion, dedication and hard work is often left unnoticed because everything seems effortless when he is doing it. He taught me to try things out of my comfort zone without overthinking and ending up not doing it because society or the Ego tells so. On top of that I love his voice. It is smooth like butter and has a calming and comforting effect on me.

My ult is and will always be Seokjin (Jin). He's the one who got me into BTS with his personality and made me stay with his voice. Jin is my ult and I love all 7 of them (OT7!!). I do like a few other idols but no one on the level of BTS.

I love that on this song both rap line and vocal line got to show off. The vocal line killed that bridge. And Sugas flow just hits differently on this track. And our Jhope produced this. Even without knowing you can tell that it got Jhope written all over it.

One of my favourite songs on the albulm, but I have given up on narrowing down favourite songs of BTS - they have such a huge disography with so many great songs, including solo projects. They are stupendously talented, prolific musicians/writers/producers and exceptional entertainers. How many other groups are so well rounded and dance/entertain like they can, as a big, beautiful cherry on top?!

I don't know if this was mentioned before but this album and this song was released during the height of the pandemic and the lockdown. This song talks about the guys constant thoughts and desire to work, hustle and grind even though the world was literally giving them and ppl, from all over the world time to sit back (unfortunately due to covid 19). They talk about wanting to work hard and not wanting to take it easy ( as some people might do during their youth) due to the fact that they are used to this. The idea here is whether or not the constant need or desire to work is a form of disease or a mental illness/issue that they have, as they should be wanting to take time for themselves to relax. The boys also keep the theme ambiguous so that it's not referring to just them by also speaking about how it is a normal thing to experience mental illness/ issue and society shouldn't treat it as a plague, (so to speak)as everyone deals with mental illness/issue in some way , on some level. The idea is to accept this and keep moving forward together. I think this song came out at a perfect time as we were locked in our rooms and dealing with our own thoughts. I also think the title was pretty cool as disease / illness and coovid-19 go hand-in-hand.

Yes! I didn't expect you guys to react to this but I'm glad you did. Its a song that got attention when the album came out but idk it seems like people forget about it. Its one of my favourites from BE and just in general in terms of their discography along with Paradise like you mentioned. You should check out the lyric videos for BTS - Pluto (134340), Rain and an older one i found recently The Stars.

Idk if someone has stated this but in RMs verse he uses "I'm ill" in 4 ways. Ill is English is both sick, as in diseased, and Ill as in cool. Whereas in Korean, it means "Il" as in one, and "il" as in work.

i think it's both since the entire album is based on the journey while quarantined cos of the pandemic... so it's a disease literally. but also, the dis-ease (or lack of ease) cos of anxiety due to pondering on the world's disease that's beyond the physical. many people are suffering from a sick (bad) way of living. but it depends on perspective - who's sick? those who are at ease with all this unease or those who still want to keep pushing despite it. just my thoughts. :)

Ok so basically...their disease is being workaholics. In late 2018 the group took a one month break. It was the first break of any significant length that they were allotted since their 2013 debut. It was obviously necessary for their mental, emotional, physical, and personal wellbeing, but they all agreed that it felt long and unnatural to not work for so long. They were in a state of “dis-ease” or not at ease because they couldn’t seem to fully relax.
