That’s not the case at all if you look at the video of BTS being nominated you could tell that taehyung was suspicious because it’s not the fans that were voting for them it was the Academy and do you think they’re going to choose an international group because the Academy for all we know could be filled with people that aren’t really down with BTS on top of that he started getting suspicious once he saw Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga‘s name pop up it was obvious that the others were not gonna win it was tied between BTS and Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga but as soon as their names popped up Taehyung knew that there was some thing off and I’m not even trying to say that I didn’t have any faith in them it’s just all the signs were there we just weren’t paying close enough attention

Two years ago, I did not understand Eminem's negative reaction to the Grammys. After finding out the global sensation BTS' song Dynamite lost to a song that does not compare both in global impact and global sales, I feel saddened yet awakened from my ignorance about the truth of the popularity and lobby pageant known as the Grammy Awards. I am not a fan of BTS but I can definitely fight for my artistic Korean brothers by purchasing my nieces and their friends' virtual event and concert tickets to merch with my hard-earned, high-tech capitalist money aka "shmoney" as said by a Mrs. Cardi-B. LOL...I guess I finally gave in and had to take a stand and pick a side using American Express as my weapon of choice.

You're right it's not about sales and popularity even though the Grammys apparently changed the rules that prohibit Academy members and their publicists from lobbying for any recordings. Plus, if BigHit and Hybe Entertainment [worth $5B] needed a Grammy, they would have at least had someone accept the Grammy's invitation to be part of the voting circle. BTS eight years of artistry has grown to a net worth of $100M, so they may be obsessed with winning a Grammy to satisfy their ego yet haven't needed a Grammy. Yet for the Grammys to publically acknowledge they no longer will tolerate bribes for votes does have me question the validity of past awarded Grammys that may have swayed favor towards various musical artists. Thank you for your sharing your opinion and clarification. Your unique analogy using the albums of "Folklore to Future Nostalgia" is optimistic and artistic, yet altruistic. No , he was disappointed of the translator. The translator didn’t do the right job that he hired for , so RM took his in ear out and sighed to tell him off, but the translator may couldn’t understand RM at that moment so RM turned to the side . Ok, so maybe another way to look at this is this: Dynamite was their first all English song not written by them (I’m sure they gave their input). Maybe this means that the song they will actually win their first Grammy with will be one written by them and will have even more meaning. Lots of artists do not win on their first nomination and maybe not winning this year will make it even more meaningful next year. Did they deserve it? Absolutely. Are we disappointed they didn’t win? Definitely. How can we show them that we know they are worthy? Keep enjoying their music Just trying to look on the bright side 💜.

This is exactly what I've been thinking too. Honestly, I was so happy to see them up for a Grammy because they deserve it so much, but I just don't think Dynamite was a Grammy worthy song. It's sweet and catchy, but not necessarily groundbreaking lyrically or just in general. So I was kinda worried about them having a reputation for cheating the system if that was their first win, or even perpetuate the myth that all k-pop is is just manufactured artists that don't write their own music. Next year, I hope to see them nominated for a song that they really put their hearts in. It would have been great to see Dynamite win, but can you just imagine how it would feel for them to win with a song they actually wrote and had a larger role in? That would be amazing and a much better demonstration of what an amazing group they are.

As an American I almost feel guilty for the Grammys being part of my race. It’s so disappointing and disgusting how they clearly use them for the views and bait. Grammy tried to boost ratings by using BTS with ARMYs around the world. ARMYs n BTS were waiting to hear the announcement around 4 a.m. BTS would've waited all night in a state of nervousness. I don't want to watch the Grammy broadcast. I just want to know the time of BTS's performance. Or I'll watch it on Yt later. It's so tired! How tired n exhausted will BTS? It's so annoying n angry!!
