No need to imagine that happening. Most Western groups do record songs in Korean when they plan a tour of Asia that includes dates in Korea. They do this for the same reason that BTS has recorded two Japanese albums, despite the fact that they're not Japanese, they don't speak Japanese, and they sing in Japanese with thick Korean accents.

When Jimin and J-Hope were in Japan the last few days, a lot of Armys were saying they really improved their Japanese and their pronunciation, especially Jimin. It's true that nowadays, there's more and more English in Korean, but the pronunciation isn't accurate most of the time. But my point wasn't that they can speak perfect Japanese, because it's not true, but that making a Japanese album makes more sense since they know more Japanese than English.

+Andrea That's interesting news about BTS's recent Japan visits; I have not watched any new Japanese interviews or been keeping up with current media coverage in Japan. Of course you're right about the Korean- English using different standard pronunciation (the same is true in Japanese-English bc it's for talking to other Korean or Japanese speakers, not for talking to ppl who mainly speak English and speak no Korean or Japanese) but the boys have been practicing their English in America, probably with RM's help, and they're all memorizing helpful phrases that they pronounce with American (rather than K-English) accents.

Golden Sugakookie I can give the most important aspects of BTS - song lyrics that needs to be heard! I have never listened of a third generation K-Pop group to write songs about domestic violence: social issues, love to oneself, women appreciation: empowerment, and further so on. Their live performances - mind blowing! And their music videos that is well produced, so very creative, artistic, folk stories, and a message of the music video for their fans to listen. They have to do these press junkets before the award show. Who knows how many repetitive interviews they did in 2 or 3 days, all with the same dumbass questions. Never a mention about the GOOD stuff they do all the time. Their music inspires young people and has saved a few from suicide. They contribute to many charitable organizations and encourage their fans to do the sams. A bunch of the Army in China got together to save a couple of schools that were closing. They really support animal rights and rescue efforts around the world. The Army has done so much to support not just them but each other. It gives lonely depressed fans a chance to make friends and have fun. These are good, honest, talented, compassionate, intelligent (RM has an IQ of 148) young men with big hearts who appreciate what has happened to them and give back. They are now all multi-millionaires and are set for life. 7-8 years ago, none of them had a clue that it would get this big. I hope they last a long time but eventually, they will have to go their separate ways. Now they have the means to help their families and have a great future. Very satisfying to see. P.S.: When V leaned over to introduce himself, you can see why he was chosen as most handsome man. That hair color makes him so GORGEOUS.

Nobody is pressuring BTS into English, it was just a suggestion. You can't compare them learning English to English speakers learning Korean because English is a business/international language. The fan was suggesting English because it would be better for them internationally. It's a fucking business take, it's good for the company. Personal opinion here: every interview in the US bothers me. They don't even try to find a way to overcome the language barrier, most shows don't even hire a translator and rely only on RM. I know he is the leader, but it feels like the other are being left out and it seems to me that even RM doesn't really like being the only one speaking and always tries to give the others the word.
