For your question about the language. Yes it's possible actually. For me, my first language isn't english but I improved it by watching several movies and shows. And I learned a third language as well only watching TV series. I've watched tonnes of turkish TV series for like 2 years and I picked up the whole language, speaking, reading and writing. So it can be done even if you don't put your mind to it. For some reason I've also picked up a lot of korean words, sentences and phrases within one year only because of the amount of drama that I watched as well. So I guess anyone can do it.

i learned english at a very young age by watching sesame street and pixar/disney films! it helped that our local tv was trash and had no choice but to turn to american educational shows 🤣 i could only imagine how much harder it is for people with non-roman characters tho. must require a different level of intellect and determination.

What RM did was the best way to learn English. That's what most of us foreigner did to learn it. Movies and TV shows are fantastic tools to learn but the biggie is to get out of your comfort zone and talk to people. RM is so courageous making speeches at the UN in front of a large audience, doing interviews in English in America etc. I also now that Suga understands English quite well but he's too shy to speak and Jungkook is actually learning 10 words a day.

I don't now if someone has already said this but imma still say it, so Namjoon is like crazyyyy smart, like in school he was good in all the maths, sciences and he took, I think, two foreign languages, English being one of them and Chinese or Japanese, I cant rememeber, he was so smart that his parents wanted him to further his education but he wanted to be a rapper, hence why he was able to learn English better through watching Friends, not like he learnt the entire language just by watching a tv series hahah, nahh he already had knowledge of the language so watching Friends, continiously apparently, helped with his communication and learning like everyday words.

Ironically, i got into kpop because i was learning Korean. Music/movies are a great way to learn. I learned pretty basic english vocabulary and sentence structure in primary school. But i became fluent the same way RM did: i watched movies and series with the french subtitles, then the english ones. I was taking a film class in high school, and i often had to watch the same movie/scenes twice to write a paper. I thought it was a very common way to learn, but judging by the reactions to namjoon's comment idk anymore lol.

the thing that's crazy is that the alphabet and the structure of the two languages are completely different. i learnt English from Italian and it was still very hard, even with he same alphabet and sounds and similar phrasal structure. i can't even imagine trying to learn Korean or Japanese

It's actually possible to learn a language from watching a show (by rewatching it), that's how I learned Spanish, you pick up things without knowing it (like how children learn how to speak by listening to the adults around them), but I think it's easier when you're younger (i was like 9 or 10), it does take a lot of time, but I didn't notice because I was watching something I enjoyed.

True. Learning other languages by your own its hard. I can speak 3 languages currently include english n korean. I taught myself korean and at the same time i learnt english because i watched many kshows and kdramas in eng sub. Back then there weren't many dramas and shows in my language even now so i had to watch it with eng sub. It's had been 10 years now n glad that korean n english become my fluent languages along with my home language

to learn japanese from an anime, i play and pause each episode line by line writing down every word and usually you start to notice and pick up repeating words. it takes forever and you end up with the entire script written down but it works!🙂💔

Btw yes you can pickup a language from watching stuff , my first language is Arabic and my second language is French and I live far away from India but I'm fluent in hindi just from watching Bollywood movies ! It took me about 5 years and I didn't even try it came by itself because I used to watch lot of them Ps : English is my third language

the game with gung gung chil bang is that Jimin, Jk, Jhope were in the same team and Jin, RM and V were in the other team so a person say gung gung chil and when he says bang and points at person 2 the ppl around person 2 should raise there hands, and person 2 should keep his hands low so when JK said bang and pointed at Jimin, RM and Jin raised there hands and Jimin almost did when he shouldn't, that's why he cringed like that
