Actually no other groups has gone through this ever beside bts. They started with nothing and work there way up on there own and went through hell by these other fandoms who are a part of the big 3. Basically all the kpop fandom who are not armys. It was a big deal. They were harshly criticized and looked down on by the media and everyone else. I don’t think I’ve ever seen any group going through this. It was that bad. It is something that army will never forget because it was that bad.

Just an FYI to a comment....BigHit have actually submitted multiple lawsuits of the people defaming, spreading malicious/false rumors, etc. where those ppl had to pay fees (and I THINK some really awful cases ended up serving some sort of jail/community service sentence but I’m not completely sure on that part so don’t take it for a fact). But yea this video shows why fans get so protective of them because they were dragged so hard for many years; and sadly even some still this day. But genuine ARMYs will always support and love them and they’ll always support and love us 💜💜💜

The elites in the industry did not want another competitor in the business because it's a threat to their monopoly. BTS became big that media play and manipulative companies can no longer conceal their achievements and records because while BTS was being disrespected and ignored in Korea, Bighit entertainment decided to expand its reach through SNS because no other local shows or broadcast stations invite BTS. Now the tides have turned, broadcast stations are begging for BTS to have them on their shows. This is why ARMYS are sensitive about issues regarding mistreatment and discrimination
