It’s a song about a broken relationship. Where one side wants to other side stay with them whereas other side wants to end this relationship. House of cards means that relationship is really weak as cards so it can fall anytime. It’s actually very sad song and beats, music, vocals make it even better. This is lowkey one of BTS's best tracks. Everything about this is perfect, to the point I really have nothing I can criticize about it. The lyrics being written in a way that truly shows the toxic element of the relationship, the desperation for it to not end. The song being so alluring and seductive, but with the underlying tone of sadness. Even the metaphor "House of Cards" adds even more authenticity. But in my opinion, the best part of this song is the vocals, I don't understand how the boys managed to all convey a certain feeling but also seem so different. The harmony is amazing and one thing that makes the song so damn good. But the thing that truly makes it the best is the live performances, that's the moment you realize how downright good it is. You truly see the desperation, and seduction in their live performances. Thank you BTS for making such an amazing song.
