Hadn't heard this one before and I love it. Found BTS on Carpool Karaoke at the beginning of the lockdown and fell down the rabbit hole. After 4 years of so much negatively and stress, they have helped me so much. That's why angry Armys just make me so sad. The BTS boys spread love and that's what they wish everyone else would do to. If you are spreading hate, you are hurting yourself more than other people. Love yourself.

OMG Same! I found them on Carpool Karaoke as well and I haven’t been disappointed yet. They have been a gateway to several other K-pop groups and inspired to learn Korean. Quarantine, bad relationships and just daily ups and downs and these 7 amazing human beings have kept me sane through it all. Like she said BTS found ME. 🥰😊

The song isn’t about a girl. It's about the fragile career K-pop idols have and how it can easily tumble at any pertaining moment . That’s why they keep saying they are afraid . Bts have really deep hidden meanings that can’t be broken done in a matter of seconds sometimes please look into explanations into it. As a new army I started with a deep dive into the group and with only so many hours in the day ,new to Kpop and BTS being around for so long there are so many songs then add into the old videos I only listened to BTS but now after some time I have started listening to songs BTS likes and recommended which is alot. BTS loves music and likes to promote less known artist.

V is in his element in this song! His voice is so rich and deep, and he always used to adjust it to fit with the other high pitched members. Regardless, his delivery is always wonderful, but I just looove him with the r&b soul sounds

Enjoyed this reaction! The dialogue was great. I am an ARMY, but I do listen to a lot of different groups and solo artists. I’m a lover of music, especially music that moves you inside and out! If you stay inside one box, you miss so much good content. One of my favorite songs is by Hwasa of Mamamoo called Maria. This is just one of many. Last night I started listening to BTS with my daughter which led to me sharing with her The Stylistics, The Jets, Debbie Gibson, Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5, NKOTB, Salt N Peppa, TLC. I wanted to show her the roots of where some of the music we love today sprouted from. We both absolutely love K-POP! I don’t see that changing anytime soon. We have been listening since 2018. Thank you for sharing such diversity in music! OAN: I just thought about BTS’ song Hip Hop Lover! You guys may like it.

Totally agree with you. Thing is BTS love and sing songs by other artist as well so I’m not sure why people would want to limit themselves. I’ve been watching kdrama for over 10 years and it has exposed me to much new music that would not have heard. I also grew up on NKOTB, Michael Bolton, Toto and old country and western, calypso and so much more. There is so much talent out there and the older songs still sound new when I hear it. The emotions are unbelievable. I hope people would give themselves leeway to enjoy a wider variety. Very often these same musician are the ones that inspired the artists that we like today.

i'd just like to say that people who only stan bts out of the kpop industry don't actually *only listen* to bts, bts are just the only ones they found they could dive into the entire discography of since bts are probably the artists with the best quality and most versatile b-sides out there. and they have a lot of music. nothing wrong with "limiting yourself" to one discography and a few songs each from other artists if you don't want to end up like one of those multis who oversaturate themselves with 55 groups to the point where you don't know who is who and what is where and which of them has a comeback when and what is even going on with their music, especially if you just don't like the music you hear from them or you don't stand for their values or them as people (which is the issue of those "limiting themselves" people with a lot of kpop). just my two cents since i hear you a lot shading armys who listen to majorly bts.

I listened to 2nd gen Kpop a lot, but lost interest after awhile. They all tend to stick to the same concept and not too versatile until I found BTS in 2019. I am like your patron, and I have been through so many eras. I don’t find anyone talented after MJ until BTS. BTS are the only artists I found who have the best b side tracks. I am not into cutesy girl groups either, but I like Dreamcatcher and Mamamoo. I think Dreamcatcher is underrated even though I am not a fan. I agree they have the best choreos out of all the girl groups I seen so far.

The problem is with the multis that claim they like BTS but throw them under the bus while praising their other favs. And I don't mean constructive criticism. I mean they are being disrespectful. And SHINee wasn't putting out albums as a group because members were doing their mandatory military service. They were doing individual activities in the mean time.

Loved this! I first got into KPOP in 2009 when I got into Korean dramas. I took a break when I started dancing as I began listening almost exclusively to the music I danced to. I just got back into KPOP last year even I got curious about BTS because my nieces were huge fans. I've loved the journey and the perspective of seeing how the industry and music had changed.

I watched a video... its a series called Rise of Bangtan. It explained BTS journey in detail from the start to this day (its still ongoing btw). it mentioned the stereotype of kpop idols being “manufactured” and addressed the stigma that idols aren’t “true artists” compared to other korean artists. It made me realize how horrible the western industry really is. They feel threatened that kpop is getting bigger day by day and BTS is not stopping any time soon. They paint the picture of “the Dark Side of Kpop” so badly, while there is definitely a dark side of kpop- its not a reality for every kpop company. This dark side of kpop I would say started from SM. They created the unspoken rules of monitoring the WEIGHT of Idols and trainees, and every single horrible thing kpop has probably got reinforced by that god awful company. SM had a great control of media, idk about nowadays from what I’ve heard JYP, Big Hit (now called HYBE), and YG are fairly doing well (HYBE is doing phenomenal tbh) while SM is still in decline. The tables have definitely turned. Karma is out for their ass. I can only blame this stigma against kpop to the big 3 and the western media.
